Soon after Dhoom 2, which sent out the message that Hrithik 'worked' outside his home banner, the grapevine sug-gests Roshan Jr wants out of the two aforementioned films. Why this sudden volte face? Referring to the two big hits which Hrithik delivered this year — Krrish and Dhoom 2 and the big contract of 35 crores for three films with Adlabs which has catapulted him to a different league, our source says, "Hrithik has become real big now. He wants to do only big films." Twice unlucky This will be the second time that the protagonist will opt out of Delhi-6, which is based on Mehra's own life during his childhood in Delhi. Earlier Abhishek Bachchan had walked out of this film due to some differences, which arose when AB Corp had desired to co-produce the film with UTV but the deal did not go through. Rakeysh Mehra preferred to maintain a stoic silence on the fate of Delhi-6. The source further says Hrithik isn't too happy with Zoya's script either. "Hrithik had asked Zoya to make some changes. Zoya's script was ready more than a year ago, and Hrithik felt that she needed to liven it up." Zoya was to make her debut with a film titled Luck– By Chance in 2004. Unfor- tunately, the film never took off. Kismat Talkies was slated to roll by the end of March 2007. Ritesh Sidhwani who is producing Zoya's film, claims all's okay on the Hrithik front, "We start filming in May." Why has the project been pushed back by more than two months? Silence is golden Hrithik was unavailable for comment. His manager Ashok Vasodia was somewhat forthcoming, "Hrithik hasn't signed Mehra's film. He has just returned two days back from Jaipur where he was shooting for Jodha Akbar. He is having meetings with Mehra. But I cannot emphati-cally say if he will do the film. Nothing is confirmed on that. As for Zoya's film, he has signed it and will do it. I don't know anything about the changes in Zoya's script." | ||||
