Part 25:
Aisha rolled her eyes at him while he added, "ab agar tumaare insecurities khatam hua toh jaldi se shaadi kar lethe haiā¦.yeh dhooriyaan aur intezaar ab mujhse seh nahi hota Aisha!"
Aisha nodded and replied, "hmmā¦..main bhi wahi soch rahi thi!"
Sameer: matlab tum mujhse shaadi karne keliye ready ho, huh?
Aisha suddenly remembers her promise and does a bit of backing offā¦."mmmā¦sochke bathaavungiā¦.ab chalenā¦I need to get up early na?"
Sameer is amused by her sudden change of minds and nodsā¦.."chaloā¦"

Aisha had left by the morning flight to Nasik where her dad lived nowā¦
ETF had returned to Mumbai as wellā¦.
Aisha had called up Sameer to tell him that she had reached the place but then after that she didn't callā¦whenever he called, she replied in a hurry and he also didn't wish to disturb her precious time with her dad!
Almost 2 days passed by like thatā¦ā¦ETF was busy as always in its cases!
Though he was missing her big time, he didn't let that hamper his duty!
But he did have his mood swings in place and none in the team fail to notice itā¦.he was quite gloomyā¦..
The feel of her and her fragrance still lingered in him and he wasn't able to let go of any of itā¦..it added to his agony making him long for her return!
That agony made him act quite bizarre at timesā¦..tensing the team around him as well!

That eveningā¦ā¦..Shree, Liza, Chotu and Sakshi are in their usual fun time mode but this time around the topic of discussion was their Rathod Sirā¦.They had solved the case for the dayā¦..so they were freely doing what they enjoyed the most!
Chotu: yeh Rathod sir ko achaanak kya hua hai? Baat baat pe chidh rahe hai!
Sakshi grinned, "aur kya love sickness hai Chotuā¦..Aisha jab se gayi hai tab se aise hi hai!"
Liza: haan bechaare Rathod sir, Aisha ko bohat miss kar rahe honge na?
Shree: Aisha aakhir itne dinon se kahaan gaayab hai? Waapas kyun nahi aayi??
Sakshi: usske ghar mein kuch problem hai Shreeā¦.wahi gayi hai!
Chotu: aaj kuch zyaadha hi irritated lag rahe haiā¦ā¦..tum logon ko patha hai, Rathod sir ne apne coffee bhi waapas bhej diyaā¦..aaj tak aisa kabhi nahi kiyaā¦.parr aajā¦.
Sakshi: aaj kal Aisha ke saath hi coffee break lethe hai na? shaayad isiliyeā¦ā¦
The discussion continued while oblivious to them, someone else was listening to their conversationā¦.He was passing by and the mention about Rathod had stopped him right thereā¦ā¦He couldn't understand Sameer's stateā¦.well who else could understand Sam and his love struck state better?

The next day morning, the team hadn't got any casesā¦ā¦
Rathod was in his cabin and Arjun walked in to give him the report of the bullets he fired the previous dayā¦.
Rathod knew Arjun was there but didn't acknowledge his presenceā¦ā¦Arjun's ego wasn't any less, he just kept the file on his table with a thud and turned awayā¦.
He had nearly reached the door when Rathod scowled, "yeh kya tareeqa hai Rawte?? Achaanak mere cabin mein aakhar kuch keh behair file rakh kar jaanaā¦..huh?"
Arjun turned around raising his eyebrows, "kya karna hai, kaise karna hai, yeh tum mujhe matth sikhaavo Rathod!"
Rathod got up and walked up standing face to face with him, "Dammit Rawteā¦.ETF ka chief main hoom aur yahaan mera kehna maan na hi padega ā¦you really don't have a choice! Warna ETF chodhke chale jaao!"
Arjun could see that Rathod was in a mood to lock his horns with him and he knew the reason as wellā¦..
Rathod was missing Aisha and was desperately wanting to channel out or divert the frustration somewhere elseā¦ā¦and that was why he was picking up a silly fight or a baseless argument with him!
Arjun just gave a sarcastic grin understanding Rathod's mind which even Rathod was unaware of!
Whatever pretence or false faces they put up, the bond of friendship which was rooted deep inside will find its way out somehow or the other! No mask can stop that! At times like this, be it happiness or a pain, or a love struck stateā¦ā¦even if it is through fights, we try to find solace and peace in a friend! We tend to crave for the friend's presence around us at such situations!ā¦.And that was exactly what Rathod was trying to do even though he himself wasn't aware of it!
Arjun had effectively hid his smile with that grin but Rathod couldn't hide his anger seeing him grin as if mocking at himā¦Before he could blast out on his friend, Arjun remarked, "agar kisi ko miss kar rahe ho toh usse baat karna chaahiyeā¦ā¦aise ghussa karne se kuch nahi hota Rathodā¦.Samjhe ya samjhaavum?"
Before Rathod could give a tit for tat reply, his phone rings and he is forced to ignore Arjun momentarily and pick the callā¦..
Arjun turns to leave while Rathod's shocked expressions and talk holds him backā¦..
Rathod: [shocked to the roots] WHAT??? Kab? Kaise?? Okā¦..main abi aa raha hoomā¦ā¦
He cuts the call and he was still in a shocked state but he just spoke up as if to himself or perhaps to inform Arjun, "Aisha ka accident hua haiā¦.mujhe abi jaana hogaā¦.."
Arjun was quick to respondā¦..there was no way, he was going to leave his friend alone in this panic stateā¦ā¦He replies, "main bhi tumaare saat chaltha hoom!"
Sameer rushes out without waiting to explain to anyone while Arjun lets them know of the accident and also that he was going along with Sameerā¦
Before Sameer could get into the SUV, Arjun gets in, "I will drive!"
As they drive along, Rathod lets out the details about the accident and the hospital where she was admitted inā¦.and then added "Nasik se drive karke aa rahi thi aur achaanak kisi paed pe takraa gayi aurā¦..mujhe toh kuch samajh hi nahi aa rahaā¦..woh aise achaanakā¦mujhse bhi nahi kahaā¦ā¦itne dhoor akele driveā¦.na jaane kya chal raha hai usske dimaag mein???"
Arjun could see that Sameer was really tensed and worried for Aishaā¦..his broken sentences and blurting out in a confused manner clearly showed thatā¦..
Arjun silently drove listening to his ranting patiently and then responded in a consoling tone, "don't worry Rathodā¦Aisha bilkul teek hogi!"
Sameer nodded hoping for the best, and replied, "I really hope so Rawte!"
In those moments, Rathod slowly realized Arjun's state of mind after Roshni's death to a much more deeper extentā¦ā¦Aisha's accident had caused so much agony and pain to himā¦.then how much impact would Roshni's brutal murder have on Arjun! Well he couldn't even imagine how that would be!
And what did he do to him? He blamed him, isolated him, threw him out of his life instead of standing by him and supporting him in that dreadful situation!
He felt guilty for having done thatā¦..he himself was witness to the deep love his friend had for Roshniā¦ā¦and when that love was snatched away, Arjun was hysterical and almost in an extreme state of madnessā¦ā¦But he never once empathized with Arjun! His own sorrow took over his senses and he put the blame on Arjun just to console himself!
Well, he did realize his mistake now! He was able to empathize with Arjun a lot more now!

Now he felt good with Arjun by his side during this tough phase when he was quite unsure of what to expect at the hospitalā¦.Was Aisha safe? Or was a bad news awaiting him there? He didn't know! And that added more misery to him!
They reached the hospital where Aisha was admittedā¦ā¦.It was on the highway closer to the accident spotā¦ā¦
They enquire and reach the emergency ward where Aisha was taken inā¦ā¦The doctor and the person who admitted her are there as wellā¦.The person who brought her here had called Sameer from the last dialed number in her phoneā¦ā¦
The doctor updated Sameer and Arjun about her stateā¦..He said that she was fine now though she had a cut on her forehead and had fractured her hand as she violently jammed against steering wheel in the impact of the hitā¦ā¦
She had lost consciousness due to the impact of it but now she was recoveringā¦.
Arjun didn't meet Aisha but told Sameer to go and meet her while he had something urgent to doā¦ā¦Arjun went away leaving Sameer there!
Sameer just had a glance at her as she was still unconsciousā¦..The doctor asked Sameer to wait outside for some more time!
He waited outside impatiently for her to get up!
Soon, Aisha was shifted to a private room and then Sameer was allowed to sit next to herā¦.
He held her hand in his and waited for her to open her eyes which she did after about 10-15 minutes!
He was happy but at the same time, his anger and his concern took overā¦.."tum itni irresponsible kaise ho sakthi ho Aisha? inn chaar ghanton mein tumne meri jaan hi nikhaal diya! Agar koyi tension tha toh phir drive kyun kiya?? Flight mein aa jaathi ya mujhe call karthi!"
Aisha forced a smile seeing his love and affection for her and slowly replied, "haan tension tha but trust me Sameer, mujhe nahi patha ke yeh sab kaise hua?"
Sameer understands that she is taking stress from her anxious toneā¦so he mellows down and caressed her hair gently, "ok just relaxā¦hum baadh mein baat karenge.."
Aisha: you don't understand Sameer, mujhe shaq hai ke yeh accident nahi tha!"
Sameer is shocked and enquires, "WHAT?"
"Aisha teek keh rahi hai Rathodā¦ā¦yeh accident nahi balke ek sochi samjhi chaal hai jisse ek accident ka shakal diya hai!"
Arjun's voice from the door made their heads turn to that direction!
