You know Vaishali today's mock video conf. reminded me that original powerful one. The one which I saw as my first chance brush with this serial. And what was it? The built up, removal of the clutter, slightly disinterested hero and subdued heroine. She came. unwilling but determined. A tinge of sadness over a dream shattered (I realised later after catching previous episodes), and a spaced sound of tinkles suddenly drawing the hero in. Adjusting his screen, but again disjointed at not able to see her. But from her angle of cam she was able to see his eyes...first a hesitation. But she recovers and resolutely launches the fireworks. Her opening salvo, " Jisse mera koi rishta na tha, he or honewala he use mujhe...". You know Vaishali, there is an exact dialogue in original, albeit in different scene, at Pramad's house when SC tries to intervene...Anyways, entire script, screenplay rt. from the tinkles sounds to the last flickering screen which renders SC answer less, was so tight and perfect! And Jenny had stolen the scene, lock, stock and barrel. I was hooked. Caught all the back episodes. And here I am. I have immense respect for GR's portrayal. But Jenny is unfairly treated more often. Anyways, when I am looking at the impressions that I jotted down then, still they are holding fast and true. Thank you all the artists.
@bold- I don't think the original script was written as beautifully as you wrote here.. that scene is epic..I always pause at the moment he sets his eyes on her..on her waist to be precise.. its almost like he was struck by sharp bolt of thunder that shakes him up from within..She was lambasting him and he was smiling at the trinklets ominously quivering on her waist, as if as angry as her..beautiful wasn't it? that was the moment that marked the start of transformation of Saras.. the first knock at the closed doors of his heart, sounded like the tinkles, new yet so familiar that he instantly felt the connection..something he mentions to VC the day he asks for his approval to marry Kumud.. '' jab pehli baar Kumud ko dekha, usse ek anjana sa naata mehsoos huya''
I feel one of the reasons, Jenny's contribution and hard work goes unappreciated , is the fact that the audiences , atleast here, majorly comprise of females who naturally get attracted to the male protagonist.. not generalising ofcourse :) Thats why I am glad that people like you and hgg are also there to give a guys perspective on the show and give due credit to the female protagonist too..
