cvs hv slapped BOTH fangrps REAL HARD by the present SULTAN track...really don't care what the othr grp ever thought abt sultan...can't blame them though coz even I never thought sulbala n sultan will b so beautiful n mpactful...thnx to avishti mindblowing chem n avis beautiful portrayal of sultan...they r drownd with insecurity...so finding logic in their comments is utterfoolishness but I HATED it when my fellow SULBALIan used to bash cvs ...agar sultan dikhaya toh bash...na dikhaya toh bhi bashing saying they r using him as a filler...but giving him such an awesum sory is a well deserved slap on their faces who used to say AR is too gud for the shw ..wasted here blah blah...but the truth iss CVs hv always given him enuf imp frm his entry till now...MUST ADMIT AR roxx as SULTAN

Great Post,

As Kat says many fangirls do not know the meaning of Empathy, so they will not be able to relate themselves with Sultan, and that is fine but the thing that troubles me is If they do not get Sultan then how do they understand RK, Here both are extremes one is a superstar and other is an orphan or sadakchap, and most of the people here will have neither experience, so why?

Paljay they may not have experience of either...but they idolise vd adn therefore will idolise any character he plays. And cvs have been clever in having an actor with a largish fangroup (and vd does have and did have a fan following irrespective of what tiwari said in an interview not that long ago...and it got all the phankis getting their knickers in a twist!!😆) As i was saying...they got the superstar role played by someone with an existing fangroup...this means..they can have that charcter do anything and a basline fan following will remain...irrespective of what they do. Oh and its easier and nicer to fantisaise being a superstart or being with a superstar!

Now the question is...HOW much influence does it have? They think rather a lot. Tiwari and Co say ...we will feed you crumbs of what you want now and again...but we got a game plan and we don't get dictated to by pankhis...coz you don't pay our salaries!!

Sultan, the character!

A child who was abandoned by his own dad.

A child whose identity was taken away from him.

A child who was callously separated from his mother by the callous hands of his biological father, no matter what the reasons there are.

A child who had to fend for himself and fight for staying alive.

Some poor family takes him under their wings, and shelters him - Nazia and Rashid.

Nazia departs and the man responsible for her departure makes Sultan chose a path where he pronounced the judgement and became the jury in avenging the wrong that was done to his adopted mother, though he only knew her as his real mother.

His adopted dad too left him.

A homeless little boy, a juvenile delinquent, where does he go? Who does he seek? Who offers him solace? Orphaned and left in the cold, he had to chose to survive or die?

Of course, some favorites who hate him to the core, will want him dead, or would have wanted him dead right when he was young.

But, gladly for us and sadly, for those haters, Sultan, the child survived to become Sultan the man.

A man is not his occupation, his occupation may be that of a gangster.

But let's not condemn the man for being a human being, a man, let's not condemn him for choosing to survive with the only options available to him.

Everyone's life is not so darn rosy nor are they cossetted that they can all become superstars.

For some life is terrible, the betrayals, the pain, the losses turn some in directions that may be hard for people to understand, BUT WHAT ABOUT EMPATHY?

We don't know the reasons that he is a gangster now, nor do we know what those gangster activities involve. Just by mere labels, we condemn.

Is EMPATHY so selective that you all feel sorry for only one character that sheds copious tears while forget that there are other less fortunate ones who have also faced a lot of trials and tribulations. What makes us pour out our sympathy and outpouring of overwhelming empathy for the chosen ones while we demean and destroy those that are truly in need of our empathy?

Sultan - the person, the character needs your EMPATHY not your condemnation. Condemn his crimes if there are any, but don't condemn the man.

PS: Bashers stay away...

wOOhooo FABULOUS POST!!
LOVE IT..
I COMPLETELY agree... Sultan's character is depicted to be that of a struggler.. He's grown tough through his experiences... When he was introduced, he was so very stern- He had to be.. due to what he had faced before.. A few people - AKA Sulbalians or Sultan fans- understood this fact! they realized that there was a pain hiding behind this character.. the CVs hinted at his past but never revealed the true history on why Sultan is what he is... today, that picture is quite clear.. a VERY rough childhood, and yet he's a GREAT father!!
@bold: if anyone has been watching this show from the very beginning... they'd realize that RK's character didn't have to STRUGGLE to survive!! He had a comfortable childhood.. yes, its a tragedy that his father passed away when he was young.. should I empathize with him NOW? 20yrs later? if THAT made him an egoistic and controlling man, then its RK's fault.. Radha married kuku in order to provide RK with a father figure as he was growing- what did RK do? insulted his mom as well.. was it ever hinted that kuku was not a good father? I don't remember.. Deepali dumped RK.. well good for him.. If RK turned into a jerk because of his ex-gf then I won't debate on the reasons given on MF for empathizing with RK.. 😕
What do fans like in him? are you sure they are MERELY empathizing with him and its not their meaningless zidd in supporting the "ORIGINAL" lead of the show? 😃
The only other character who's had a bad past in this show is Padmini.. not Madhubala! But quite recently she was bashed too by the same individuals who bash Sultan everyday..🥱
Its not empathy for RK oozing out of their words.. its HATRED for anyone who dares to step in between what RK desires... So is it their blind faith in this character?
Their LOVE for a handsome chooperishtar?
Their inability to side with the Sulbalians due to peer pressure?
Or their nonsensical support to the majority?
Whatever the reason, deep inside they too know what's wrong and who's right..
They just don't have the guts to admit it..😆😉
I am just glad we are on the opposite side.. We don't have any dictators.. No teachers.. No one judges us on what we write.. We are the gentler bunch.. and our friends won't mind when we write what we feel..
LIFE ON MF AS A SULBALIAN IS AWESOME..
