Manju, Rasika keep doing nonsense, - they are forgiven
Sachin aids Savita in gettting Arman divorce - they are forgiven
Varsha kidnaps son Soham and keeps him away for 18 or so years - she is forgiven
Soham kidnapped his sister, shot at family - he is forgiven
Ovi makes deals bartering what should be unconditional love towards a mom and dad for marrying Arjun with Purvi - she is not even held responsible for that
But when Purvi has a child with her Fiance out of wedlock, and tries to give her child away so that Ovi can be happy, albeit with very misguidedly good intentions, Archana feels like all hell broke loose and Purvi has failed her?
Is that any different from all other family members mistakes?
Just because Purvi has been Archana's shadow, isnt Archana judging her rather too harshly?
What is Purvi's mistake?
Having sex with Arjun her fiance at the time a day before marriage? Thats the only mistake I can see.
In all other cases, I see misguided good intentions, stupidity even - not a crime big enough for a mother to disown her child.

PS: I support no character, I find all of them equally weird.I dont support Purvi, Ovi, archana - anyone. I watch this whole thing as a show - sort of a convoluted version of a TV social drama
