I think being a mother is the most wonderful experience in the world. No mother, and I repeat, no mother can wantonly kill her child and live the rest of her life with a clear consicence. When women find it absolutely traumatic to kill babies conceived out of lust or even force, how can a woman kill a baby conceived in love?

Yes, Purvi is an immoral woman in the eyes of this society. But that does not make her less of a mother! She left Mumbai thinking to never come back. She could have easily aborted her baby and pretended to be a perfect, virtuous woman in the eyes of society, it would not have taken much for her to keep the whole thing a secret from the family. A couple of days away for a job interview and she could have returned a clean slate. But the mother in her did not allow her to do that.

I have much sympathy for Ovi, even if i do believe that she is largely responsible for the mess her life is. But when I saw her ask Purvi why she did not abort her child if she wanted to protect the Arjun- Ovi relationship, I was taken aback. Her reaction when Purvi cited her maternal feelings as reason was even better. Is Purvi not allowed to feel maternal just because her child was conceived out of marriage?

After having held Pari in her arms, after having lost a baby of her own, Ovi could still ask that question. Amazing indeed!

Note - I have no sympathy for any charqacter on this show. I find them all quite stupid. So citing all of Purvi's flaws and sins will make no difference to my opinion on this matter. What Purvi is or is not is irrelevant. This post is only about Ovi!

Ovi is right to ask this question if purvi claimed to want ovi and Arjun's well being all the time
As a wife she asked a very practical question
I don't think she is inhuman to ask this question
Why would you keep Arjun's baby if you didn't want anything to do with him
This is a very common question
This doesn't make ovi a bad mother
I ask the same question
That doesn't mean I will never be able to love a child as a mother
If you have no wrong intentions in this modern time
At a tender age
Why would purvi want to be pregnant

Loved your post sharadrocks!

Purvi took the harder road by keeping her child which people would taunt her about forever. And then for arovis marriage sake she left her home.

Ovi would never understand this as she's only thinks about herself and her own needs. She takes the easy road to everything!

It was disgusting how she asked Purvi that! Truly lost respect for ovi!

This shows that Ovi didnt have a problem with ArVI consummating but she did have a problem with the result right there, Pari. She wishes Pari didnt exist, then her dollhouse with Ken (Arjun) would still be intact.
Ovi has nursed Pari for 2-3 months, held her in her bosom as her own child, still she can say that abt Pari!😲 That shows how heartless and callous she is!
Practical thing for a woman would be abortion but as I always say Its A WOMAN'S CHOICE! And Purvi CHOSE to keep her baby. Its not easy for a woman to abort the little life growing inside her. Its extremely difficult and so Purvi chose the hard way, to keep the baby and face societal outrage. If Onir had not insisted on marrying her, she would have been a single mother and brought up Pari alone in Kolkata.
I wish she had not forced Onir to come to Mumbai to help this selfish, heartless girl! Ovi never deserved her caring and concern. Ovi didnt want her own baby, so she would have gotten her wish by losing it early on.

Bang On Post..!!!
I know Pari is ur husband and his ex lovers child,I know u hate her..but how can u ask dat question to Purvi..What is Pari's fault, why shud she die in Purvi's womb..why shud she pay for Ovi's mistake.?Why shud innocent little baby shud suffer..?
Ovi shud stop being selfish for once and think abt dat little child..!!
ohh what more can we expect from Ovi..she drank when she was pregnant, was jealous of her own baby..She's just a Selfish, insecure women..!!
after ages I loved Purvi's dialogues..She said she's a mother,how can she kill her own baby..Superb Purvi 👏
