I have been reading all these arguments regarding the whole skirt scenario and all... And ofcourse everyone has the right to their own point of view. Although we really need to get out the dinosaur ages! When my mum watched the skirt scene she couldn't stop laughing!! she thought it was hilarious!! :D And the after argument between Asad and Zoya, she thought Zoya was absolutely correct. Now my mother isn't the most broad minded when it comes to clothes.. she sometimes has a go at me if she thinks something is too short, although I have always maintained the belief that clothes do not portray someones character and personality! I know what to wear and where to wear it, keeping in mind if its appropriate for the environment in which I'm going, which Zoya always does too! I dont believe that this has destroyed her character at all but rather it has enhanced its purpose even more! And Surbhi is a brilliant actor! 😳👏

I love Qubool Hai for challenging the old narrow-minds of the many people who believe that a girls attire especially is everything! In every other serial you watch their ideal bahus and daughters are dressed in traditional indian clothes 24/7 including when they sleep! Although I would like to ask you all how many of you actually wear traditional indian 24/7??😆 I sure as hell dont! Qubool Hai is a show in which the mass audience especially youth can relate too! I feel Zoyas character may have also helped my mother dearest to understand what I have been saying for so many years! 😛

And lastly I know that the show is based on a muslim background and wearing short clothes in Islam is haram, although many things shown in Qubool Hai are also haram in Islam. Such as the deeds of the negative characters, taking peoples lives, blackmailing and what not! But I dont see people pointing out them as saying this is haram, that is haram blah blah blah! Like honestly just get over it! Its a fictional show!! 👏👏 And this my lovelies is the end of my rant!

I appreciate your thoughts. There is a time and place to wear. The thing is Zoya was hyper defending her skirt. If she was so confident about it, why she hesitated to appear before the elderly man? She shouted at asad as usual. When you are trying to hide, then it shows guilt and a feeling of wrong doing.

luvd ur post..👏 i didnt find nything wrng wid the skirt..hell ive seen people wearing shorter dresses..she wore the skirt inside the house 4 gods sake..she didnt walk around bhopal wearing it...

Thank you for your POV. However she was not guilty about wearing the skirt as she mentioned it to Asad. And the issue about not appearing infront of the Maulvi saab clearly shows that she understands that it would not have been appropriate to step out infront of him like that. The time, place and environment comes into play once again. And as for shouting at Asad well please tell me the amount of time Asad has yelled at her infront of alot of people and then apologised for his wrongdoing. Asad vs Zoya in the yelling competition, I'm pretty sure Asad his miles ahead in this one! Zoya was simply getting her POV to Mr Khan as any girl would and she quite frankly has every right to speak out about what she believes in. We do live in a democracy you see. :)

Yes exactly! 😃 We all claim to be so modern and all yet, once again people create issues on such small things. It really suprises me sometimes!

she didnt knw the maulvi ws cming..she ws confident abt the skirt but der r tyms wen its nt appropriate 2 wear lyk in frnt of maulvi..dats y she tried 2 hide...nt bcoz she ws ashamed of wat she ws wearing..or bcoz she felt she ws doing smthing wrng...and asad deserved 2 b shouted at..zoe hs been quiet 4 too long..

If one is comfortable and confident, it does not matter. Obviously Zoya loves wearing minis and her face showed her happiness. Once she marries asad, she has to stop wearing them and it will become a compromise. Already she pointed out that she always tries to respect him when he asks her to wear sarees and why cant he do the same for her. Not only about dress, so many things have to be compromised in a marriage. either the husband or the wife has to adjust. Here it seems Zoya is ok with asad getting his way This is life, girls.😉😉
