So the Bored meeting starts. I love the Dewan family, the only time they talk to each other is when they have a large audience - the usual trick is to call a party and invite a bunch of extras in garish clothes; this time there was a shortage of female extras, so they made do with men in ill-fitting suits and called it a Board Meeting.
Some day I hope the stalwarts of entertainment industry are going to discover that a Board Meeting is not organized on the lines of a wedding reception party. Imagine there surprise when they discover that only 7-8 members (who are seniormost, and largest stake-holders) and invariably staid and you got it - BUSINESS LIKE - only these guys are privy to or allowed inside a Board Meeting. In order to attend a Board Meeting you need to hold substantial shares of the company. I'll wait for that day of enlightenment to dawn.
Oh and the beauiful game of "Pass the Parcel" - the Chairmanship of the company - hat was hilarious too. Poor Anuj discovered that he had bitten off more than he could chew with the Chairmanship and he tried to first give it to Adi and then Avantika and nobody was interested. The only person who was jumping up and down about it was Rubel who suffered the first check in his foot-stomping, tantrum-filled career - Daddy dearest asked him to shut up and sit in a corner. So surprised was Rubel that he actually shut up for the rest of the episode. But so did Latika and Sheela.
I'm disappointed with Latika - there was no expression on her face even after Anuj sent a deluge of bomb attacks on his family - anyone remember Pearl Harbor - that was nothing compared to this. Sheela kept grinding her teeth - if Anuj has any sense of self-preservation, he'll stay around his sisters a few more days, else Sheela is going to chew him alive. If he stay away there's a chance she'll have ground her teeth to dust and he might be saved.
What I found really disappointing though was that they have changed the makeup artist/costume designer. Why the heck was Avantika wearing mismatched glass beads? And what's with the makeup that gives her that washed out look. She looks more like a recuperating junkie than even Kaira. Come to think of it Avantika's jewelry matched Kaira's costume. Preeti was looking gorgeous.
