The list of small-screen actors shifting to silver screen is getting longer. After Barun Sobti, Vishal Karwal and Jay Bhanushali, two more television actors ' Mrunal Jain and Nishant Malkani ' are set to debut in Bollywood.
Mrunal, who plays Vishnu in Uttaran, will be seen in Ram Gopal Varma's sequel to Satya. He is playing an undercover cop in the movie, unlike his negative role in the telly show. Though the shoot is over, Mrunal refused to comment on it.
Nishant will make his film debut with Vikram Bhatt's next horror flick that also features actor Karan Kundra. Last seen in Ram Milaayi Jodi, Nishant has deliberately kept a low profile. Says a source, "Nishant's doing two films and both are almost complete." When asked about his disappearing act, the actor says, "It was a big risk to quit TV, but I took it. I waited and worked hard on my looks, since I wanted to avoid being remembered for my role in the daily soap."
