It's odd. Last year around February he was giving interviews to media on completing 25 years in industry. This year it's 29 years?

Anyway, he's an iconic star, one of all time best dancers, among all time greats in comedy and one of the most effortless, energetic entertainers onscreen. He has quality of a true artiste - he performs with abandon! He is never ever self conscious or methodical. Complete natural who seems to be enjoying himself as he performs his craft.

His personal life and some useless films done in past decade aside, he's an asset to cinema.

A gifted star, who has own style of acting and dancing which no one can imitate it...

There's a fine line between funny and annoying. David Dhawan kept it in the funny zone, as soon as Govinda steps out it becomes annoying.

His other problem was repetitiveness. From the late 90's when David Dhawan moved onto Salman, his films are so identical its hard to tell one from the other. The Bihari/UP bhaiya act is funny only for so long.

Lastly, Govinda was a single screen actor out and out. Once Multiplexes took over there was no question that Govinda would be the first one gone. Also, his bad reputation meant that nobody supported him during his bad phase, which is still going on today.

FYI, his bad days are now soon be gone, he got a -ve character in Yash Raj film to be directed by Shaad Ali... i am sure he will bounce back n will prove u wrong as he is not only Single Screen actor, he is Plex Actor too... Tu dekhi ja, yahin pe wrong prove hoga tu 😡😆

I doubt Narmada rejected 26 film offers unless they were all offered by B and C grade directors which is an insult to Govinda's reputation, in the first place. So he shouldn't be making such claims.😆 On another note, I remember an interview of Govinda few years ago where he looked at the lightbulb and refused to shoot or something. His reasoning- lightbulb resembles an egg and ande mein jaan hoti hain. My sides hurt from laughing. I shit you not. It's good to see him get back to normal, suffice it to say.😆
