Casting ouch!
Ajay Krish is angry with Shobhana Desai Productions in whose daily soap Mamta he plays the lead. Krish is furious that the production house is unnecessarily linking him up with his female co-stars to gain publicity for the show.
"What do I tell them? I can't obviously convince them that this is how the production house publicise the shows. Would they ever believe me? If my family will raise questions, imagine the people whom I have no connection with? These neutral people which also include people like the spot boys will start making fun of us and pass comments on us." So what does he plan to do about it? "I am innocent. I think it is ridiculous and stupid on the part of the channel to keep on doing this and I want to publicly apologise all my three co-stars about this. I think they have no right to malign anyone unless there is some smoke to it. Just because I am friends with my co-stars does not mean that I am having a romantic relationship with them. I don't believe that all publicity is good publicity and I would rather not be in newspapers than be a part of this dirty game especially when it is not true at all. Everyone in the industry told me to forget it as it is a part and parcel of an actor's life, but I choose not to." On a final note, says, "I request the media to cross-check with the actors involved and please not use the information passed by the production house or the channel if the actors deny the information as it affects much more than you all can imagine." |
