I have so much to write yet can't put it down on paper

Geet a college going teenager pulled apart by her two worlds

one where resides her dreams, desires, fantasies and the other the harsh real world where her responsibilities await her

The young girl in her who is excited for the trip dancing in the bathroom, feels to dance just like her favorite actors, scared when a bunch of drunkards move towards her and then relieved that Maan is there with her. So thoughtful Avi😛

You perfectly mirrored her war with self

where she is attracted to Maan then again pulls back remembering her facts

her fear of being left alone down or to board the cable car

Her feeling at ease in Maan's company yet restrains thinking he is uncomfortable.

Geet is easier for me to relate too. Her thoughts born from her innocence takes time though. Stepping into her character takes a lot of words so her chapters always become long. She is not in love with Maan yet, just bordering on awareness, not attraction even. I think some women (me included) take a while to trust someone out of their small circle of family. She will though, so no worries. Right now she is in love with SRK.😆

Loved all the small instances you weaved together bring out Geet's attraction for Maan and also Maan having his fill in the cable car😳

It was his birthday so had to give the guy a present..😉

Their precious moments together alone and memories which will always be cherished by them😊

Suniye was sweet even in GHSP and I have a habit of it too. Maan's first words were Main tumhare saath hoon. Darne ki koi zaroorat nahi. Suniye I think conveys a different sort of an acceptance she has of him.

Finally Sheen enters😉 trying to knock some sense in our naive Geet

It was tough to find a way to do that scene without them being close, hence the cold, Daadi's shawl and then earring can come off. Avi has to go through loops to give you guys the scenes you wanted...😃

I totally loved the update

Devtara updates are fiery whereas Maaneet updates are like cool breeze sweeping you to a dreamy world😛

Pinky's past was saddening but happy that it hasn't dulled her spirits poor Aadi love sick puppy😆

But enjoyed their cute push -n-pull too as that gives Maaneet quality time together😳

Adi is a sweetheart. I had to make Pinky get angry with him so that Geet can pass chocolates to Maan on his birthday. Sab bahane banati hoon so that Maan could have meetha on his b'day.

The whole credit for that was the song you found. I was not able to write without the music being set. Once that got fixed, the words just flowed. Super duper shukriya for that..

But in the whole update few sentences touched my heart was

It indeed was first gift. Gifts that weren't materialistic but the ones that can be quantified by the heart. First proper conversation, first close intimate hug, first gift in guise or first encounter with a name to the feelings experienced. I love how you summarise the whole update in the title.👏

Gift of a glimpse of paradise, Maan's first gift to Geet. I was thinking what Maan can give her, I wanted it to be special because it's Maan, of course😉 and that's where I was stuck for a while. It had to be memorable yet they are not in a relationship, so this was all I could think of. Geet's gift was to spend a day with him, however unconsciously.

While reading there were some moments that I couldn't help but smile. Moments like her Yay-Yay wala happy dance, her swirling at the summit without her dupata, her liking for Yashraj films & SRK, Her description of Maan when he enters the bus where he is simply dressed as everyone else yet stand out in her vision with his attitude & persona, her observing him at the waterfalls where the water drops appear to form an halo around him with the sun rays falling on them. Each of these moments and others showed her innocence, naivety and sweetness of young love & the attractions. Her POV of the trip did make a lot of difference and was a treat to read. Especially the revelation that she wasn't aware of that the stunt performing biker was Maan and her concern was in general. Also the real reason of her disgust was the girl & it wasn't towards Maan.

Geet is stepping into awareness, not even attraction. I wanted to save the tai-chi description for later so something from afar, a tingle at his presence. For such a shy girl drooling on a boy in class is not possible.. SRK is possible...😆

Geet-Pinky Friendship is very sweet & shows the bond of care & love they feel towards each other. Be it Pinky wearing Indian to give Geet company or Geet trying to understand Pinky's view & hurt with respect to her father's sudden remarriage. Also this part gave a glimpse of Geet craving for a father in her life the way she views Pinky & her father's bond at present where she feels that none can be angry from their father. I somewhere can understand pinky's present timeline rebellious nature with regards to her relation with Adi so much so that she isn't talking to her brother Sujal as she longs for love & attention from someone as Adi which she feels lack of due to her perception of being betrayed by her Father's sudden decision of remarriage. Also now Sujal's view seems to be correct as what he is trying to do is to protect her from being hurt by bearing harsh words & rejection if not accepted whole heartedly by Adi's family which will hurt her in similar way as she felt with her father's decision.

Pinky has issues and mentally she is alone in her decision processes. That's the set up so far. Adi is a sweetheart to her and her falling for him now would work.

Darji makes an appearance here again though this time in thoughts yet quite impactful. I love his characterisation. I understand that you've built his character around someone you adore, love & idolise a lot. Darji here is someone whose character I'm left in awe of. Geet is a person nurtured by him and her innocence is reflective of his upbringing. Her thought of buying something for him or wanting him some time to come visit Mussorie was very sweet. Darji's advice of ' saying thank you & condolences in person was something very simple yet a great advice that needs to be engraved & speaks of years of experience & also on how to delicately handle relations. There's this connection between M-G. Both of them give a lot of importance & value to the father in their lives. They live & use advices from them in day-day life & understand the importance of them in their lives in a way they consider their words as a source of their presence around them. That must be a reason why these two connect in such a different yet beautiful way that even though there's silence surrounding them with not much spoken between them yet their hearts are full of sweet melody that makes them understand each other.

Its important for her to have a good value system in place for what she has to go through later.

He gifted her glimpse of paradise and fulfilled her dream whereas she gifted him a paradise of trust, company in his lonesome life (Even though if she remains in his thoughts) and someone who he can relate to & feels he can find solace in.

You caught onto that. He is getting over the grief of his parents and now a carefree character can come out.

Birthday boy got many gifts' be it the shy smile, the almost embrace in the cable car during the return, the leaning on his shoulders with him getting an opportunity to make her wear the earring'. Or him getting to make her wear the shawl & getting an up-close view of her beautiful face. He does all this without letting his insecurities to creep in between them this time but just listening to his heart.

Sheen and her advice too good, Naureen and shayari, her words awesome left me mesmerised so apt to the situation. The Music a treat.😳👏

Geet's suniye' Hayee loved it along with his HMM . ❤️ His wanting to argue with her in future but with a positive side to it.. I was wondering will it end with the famous Chup Bilkul Chup or with Hmmm.😉😆

You know the whole scene where ---- she mumbles ki 'babaji uski har dua qubool kar lena '' and him thinking that ' meri har dua tum ho Geet' I went into all dreamy mode. This scene & the last scene with him placing the earring & then the 'Hi' after such a long time I felt HOT CHOCOLATE'.😳 ❤️ You know what I feel when I say HOT CHOCOLATE. Avi this update was my hot chocolate. Love you for it. ❤️ ❤️ 😳
