I just returned from a trip to Gwalior last week. It was an official trip but I made time to visit Tansen's tomb. His tomb is a simple one situated right next to a more impressive looking tomb of Mohd Ghaus, his guru. I took some good pictures. I loved the place. In the lawns next to the tomb, the Tansen Samaaroh is held every year and musicians come from around the world. I do hope I can go back to the place some day during this Samaarok (usually held in first week of December. I missed it by one week).
