It's been a long time coz my exams were going.
Now I have returned with a questions that always peeps into my mind whenever I see eggs.
Is Egg a veg or a non-veg because I happen to be a vegetarian.
Please give me your answers.
Thanks in advance 😃.

egg issue differs to ppls views, but its def not a vegetable :P LOL

actually there are vegetarians who eat egg only, they eat cakes n pastries which has eggs in it... they r called eggetarian!

but in pure meaning a vegetarian shld be a pure vegetarian, meaning they shldnt eat eggs or any product with egg in it!
my mum n elders are all pure veg, they dont consume any dishes with eggs either! esp for them i learnt to make eggless cakes!

but my generation is all non-veg!

It depends on people lifestyle, religious views and where you live.

If you are a vegetarian because of cultural and religious views, egg is non veg.

If you go to any North American or European restaurant, a vegetarian dish does not mean it does not have eggs. Even on flights when you say vegetarian it does not mean that your food will be egg free.

I am a Lacto-vegetarian (no meat, no eggs, no lard, no seafood, no rennet, but ok with milk). In certain restaurants I usually say I am vegan (no meat, no eggs, no lard, no seafood, no rennet, no milk) to be sure that my food is strictly vegetarian. On flights, asian vegetarian would mean - no meat, no eggs, no lard, no seafood, no rennet, but ok with milk.

Then there is the term vegetarian egg, which can mislead people. The hen who laid the egg was fed a vegetarian diet. I always find this one funny! The egg is still non-veg though!

actually most of the restaurants, flights, and hospital meals have eggs and fish in their vegetarian menus. So better to be safe and say at time of ordering vegetarian meals that no eggs or fish please

I don't eat mushrooms so also state this

To me anything living is non veg.
Well technically an egg is not yet living but still has a life in it.
So to me it's non veg

eggs which we eat (white) are fertilized eggs so theres no life in it...they should be considered veg...
but eggs which is commonly known as "desi"(yellowish) aren't fertilized..!
