So, I was thinking about Asad-tanveer friendship again. ( It irritates the hell out of me)
Would you do what Asad did? Asad was a child when Tannu left. Even after so many years, the trust is still there? How? Do you remember your childhood friends? Can you trust them blindly without knowing what they have been upto? Highly unrealistic, dont you think?

How can he trust Tanveer so easily? Zoya is the person who understood him. She helped his family. Thought about him. Tanveer has never understood him. Their friendship is pathetic and unrealistic.

Dont you agree?

Exactlyy. This thought has been nagging me since the very first day.

Ofcourse i might still love them the same, but in no means would i trust thm like that, be so easy around them and all :/

Plus how can tanveer claim she knows her 'jammy' well in front of everyone and everyone actually buying it?

I am nothing like i was 2-3 years back, let alone 20 years back (ignoring the fact that i am just 17, trying to make a point here), and IMO, everynes like that.

Actually a normal person with a normal childhood would not..but we all know how Asad's childhood has been..for such people who find it difficult to trust others easily, its a tendency to cling on to their already existing ones...he already trusted tanu as a kid..they were great friends..he still believes they are and its his tendency to avoid any kind of change...for example he still hasn't fully come to terms with the fact that Zoya has changed him...he loves her but finds it very difficult to trust her..and i am afraid..once tanveer is exposed..he will break even further and that will have a long lasting impact on his relationship with Zoya...

In yesterday's episode we did get a glimpse of their friendship in childhood... the way they were discussing everything how they used to play with each other, have fun etc etc...it did seem like they used to be really close... And the matter of the fact is, if you look from Asad's point of view, he has had very few ppl in his life that close to him... and now that his childhood best frn got attacked and is in danger, it is natural for Asad to feel protective about her...but that does not mean that he trusts her blindly... Till now he is unaware of Tanvir's evil mind and so he believes what she says... once Asad gets a clue abt it, im sure he will find out the entire truth..

Coming back to your question...yes If I'll meet my childhood best friend after a long tym, I too like Asad would trust him/her but of course not blindly... and if that frn is in some problem, I would do watever I could to help him/her!

good question. But as a person, i would trust someone whom i knew for a longer time rather than a person whom i barely knew. So it does makes sense to me!

I have a childhood friend. We have been friends for the past 26 years. I trust her with my life. But, one cannot compare all childhood friends with Asad and Tanveer's example. My friend and I grew up together, learned about life together, learned how to "live" together. So we know each other almost on a level akin to telepathy. We know what the other is thinking, gauge what the other is going to do next and complete each other's sentences.

Asad knew Tanveer as a child and had a deep attachment to her. That is the image he carries till date, an image of a child without malice. So his first impulse would be to trust her implicitly.

Would I do what Asad did? That question does not arise here because my friend and I share a different relationship. And more importantly, she would not want to marry me. I do not own a construction firm, loads of money and am not a man! 😆

See, even I would help my childhood friend. But thats not the point. Till the helping part, its fine. I wont point a finger at that. But the problem is the trust issue. It would not be wise to start suspecting a person. But atleast ask that person? How can you blindly trust a person? That is something I cant digest.
