Now coming to the chapter.
It was a heart wrenching one.My heart did cry for both of them..he he he seriously aage badhna tha naa 😆 y to stuck at one point 😆.Each in hsi own world.Mehendi and the symbolism is beautiful thankeez dunno wht i wrote bas writing like an idiot hey prabhu i swear i wont ever write anything bas yeah khatam ho jaaye 😭.Also loved the slow and gradual transformation of Kesar into the responsible man beji always wanted him to be...Good that he actually went back to fulfil all the dreams of Vassy and Gulaal and but at the same time hsi grief broke me..he has to who would love a jobless person man has to be sucessful in order to be sucessful in love aisa mein soching 😉😆

CHAPTER 14

At night

Gulaal was lying in her bed the image of him was still intact in her mind she tossed and turned trying not to think about him and finally fall asleep'''as she slept. in her dreams she felt his breath on her face she felt him grazing with his lips her heart beat accelerated rapidly her senses felt so stretched, so sensitive, that it sent shivers of desire through her body.the images of tht night flashed in her mind how he had crushed her in his arms how he had kissed her deeply and madly her whole body ached with desire her soul and mind were at fire she felt him near her breath bated with his essence throwing her into ecstasies she clenched to her pillow her body arched and she sigh in pleasure''''..

Suddenly gulaal came out of her trance'''' her body shook with a chill, and sweat broke out all over her body. her mouth parted in horror her heart beat increased she fought to catch her breath'she was shocked at herself''.how could she stoop so low the tears rose in her eyes and ran down her cheeks she was broken she felt disgusted of herself how could she degrade herself she loathed herself she cried aloud and burried herself in pillow..

suddenly she heard his footsteps outside her room'kesar stepped inside her room''gulaal was nervous'she stopped crying she wiped her tears and closed her eyes'.her heartbeat thumped a painful beat with the evey steps he took towards her y was he here? Wat was he upto?was he thinking in the same way? his presence in her room stiffened her body in tension Her '''she shut her eyes tightly and clenched to pillow, kesar walked with quite step he galnced at her and sat near her feet quietly making sure not to awake her from her sleep''gulaal's heartbeat accelerated at an alarming speed. . Real fear radiated through her, prompting her body to shiver in fear''kesar gently move his hand and touched her feet'gulaal;s heart almost jumped out her skin burned beneath the touch of his fingers she wanted to draw her foot back but she was entranced she just lay passive waiting her breathing was rapid her skin gave her goosebumps in anticipation

kesar carefully inspected her feet and then his hands moved and removed her bichiya (toe ring from her toe finger carefully''..

gulaal's mouth parted in wonder she remembered her toe was swollen and turned sore coz of the toe ring''.she remembered her conversation with preeto

Gulaal said shivering in pain "lagta hai bichiya (toe ring) k wajah se dard hai"

Preeto looked at her toes they were reddened and swollen coz of toe ring she said "yeah to sujan aa gayi hai prajaiji ek kaam karo yeah bichiya uttar do"

Gulaal looked at her and said in fury "paagal ho gayi hai tenu pata hai yeah bichiya hai kitna shubh hota hai suhaag ki nishani hai mein nahi nikalungi" pointed at her toe ring the ring tht dhaani had gifted her explaining the importance of this auspicious jewellery

Preeto said "par yeah takleef de raha hai"

Gulaal replied angrily "to kya hua chahe kitni bhi takleef kyu naa ho mein yeah nahi nikalogi ek patni kabhi bhi apni pati k yeah nishani nahi nikalti samjhi"

She remembered it'but she didn't knew kesar had heard her conversation he knew she wouldn't have removed the toe ring at any cost no matter how much pain it inflicted upon her'. he couldn't bear her pain hence he stepped inside her room to remove it

One by one he removed the bichiya and then with quietly he put the washed the wound with the cotton wool and applied a ointment and blow the wound gently with his lips his touch was so calm the gesture was soothing, one of connection rather than desire the tears of gratification fell from her eyes''after applying the ointment kesar stood silent for a sec and then tied a black thread around her toe fingers'.as a replacement of her bichiya' he then stood up covered her with blanket gently he gazed at her face his heart was shattered he moved his hand to caress her cheeks but he stopped a single tear arouse in his eyes and fell on her cheeks and mixed with tears of her guilt unable to control himself he walked out of her room in haste'..after he left gulaal lifted her head and gazed at her thread the small gesture of caring touched her heart unbearably''.the tears ran incasantly from her cheeks for the long moment she kept gazing her black thread

Her burdened heart felt light there was a faint ray of hope beneath her fears and cries''. did he took her heart away tht she was struggling to give? Was it always his? Her heart stood divided

Next morning gulaal was doing her daily chores wen biji called her''gulaal went inside her room and said "biji bulaya aapne"

Biji looked at her and said "haan gulaal tujhe kuch dena tha''.."

Gulaal looked at her curiously she extended a pair of bichiya made of soft and delicate silver alloy'.gulaal looked at the bichiya with surprise

Biji said looking in other direction "wooh emmm'.haan preeto kah rahi thi tujhe bichiya se takleef ho rahi thi isliye yeah mein tere liye laayi hun phen k dekh thek haina nahi to badal jaayega"

Gulaal eyes widened her heart fluttered and she kept looking at her intendly

Biji grew nervous she said "arey aisa menu kya dekh rahi hai tu pehen k bata dena mein chalti hun bahoot kaam hai mere pass" making an excuse she went outside the room

While gulaal was ecstatic she looked at the bichiya and said to herself "aapko jhoot bulna naahi aata jaise mujhe nahi pata yeah kaun laaya hai"'''looking at the bichiya in absolute fondness she was lost in her own world while kesar looked at her from distance he smiled contendly and went away'''''

For many days she kept thinking and thinking, and wondering wat was happening to her'.y

Her heart beat an erratic rhythm everytime she saw him''she was motified she tried to pull herself upright but she was caught and trapped his longiness his passion had capitivated her but his silence was killing her''..

In her mind she screamed impossible she couldn't think of him like tht way it was SIN she was bounded by her promise'promise tht she had made to her husband long time ago pomise at the time of her marriage her seven vows she had promised to remain faithful to him for next seven birth she had promised her husband to love him only her entire life now y she was feeling this strange pull towards him were they baseless? No they weren't marriage is the most scared institutions and the vows were holier'she had taken it infront of thousant deities how could she break it ? now from where these emotions arised in her heart ? she was the virtous lady how could she let this happen to her she tried to shut her soul with all might but in vain she was restless day by day

Flashback

Few months ago sanour Punjab

Gulaal was sitting in her room wen her friend dhaani and bulbul called her from outside "gulaal gulaal kithe hai kabse awaaz laga rahe hain tel daal kar rakha hai kya kaano mein"

Gulaal closed her eyes took a deep breath and came out of her room and said "ki gal hai kyu inna shor macha rahe ho koi mar gaya kya"

Dhaani chuckled "nahi mara nahi hai maarne ka irada hai'..chal pados mein sari jananiya (woman) ikhata (gathered ) hui hai''.. mehendi ka program hai humarewooh to humari hatheli dekhte hi saath mar jayenge''

Gulaal thought for a sec and said "oye tum log jao meine nahi aana hai bahoot kaam hai menu"

Bulbul frowned "oye kaise nahi aana hai'aag lagao mue kaam ko tu chal arey kaise biwi saawan (monsoon ) mein pati k naam ki mehendi nahi lagayegi jaanti hain naa kitna shubh hota hai"

Gulaal twitched she didn't wanted to attend the function but dhaani and bulbul dragged her as it was auspicious for the wife to put mehendi on monsoon the woman in the village would apply mehendi sing mehendi song Swings are set up, delicious sweets are made and distributed

Half heartedly gulaal attended the function she extended her hand and the worker decorated her palm with beautiful design

The worker asked naam kiska likhu

Gulaal said in one go "kesar"

Dhaani chuckled "oye hoye dekho kaise eek saas mein naam bol gayi'kyu ri din raat hoton par yahi naam rehta hai kya''ki zara si bhi sharam nahi aayi naam lete hue kyu ? And they luaghed

Gulaal lowered her eyelids and looked in other direction'..she waited for her mehendi to dry and later on washed it off'she looked at her hand curiously but to her disappointment the color was same saffrom orange she pouted her lips in disappointement'

Bulbul looked at her palms and said "eloji yeah kya phir se rang pheeka hai'gulaal lagta hai kesarji tujhse zara sa bhi pyaar nahi karte"

Gulaal frowned she turned and started walking away but dhaani blocked her way she took her palms in her hand and teased her "yaa phir itna pyaar karte hai ki'..ki apne pyaar k rang in hatheli par bikher diye''.".

Gulaal looked at her in wonder her heartbeat skipped a beat she lowered her eyelids and she blushed furiously her skin was glowing with a crimson flush.

Bulbul said laughing "yeah dekho hatheli to laal nahi hui par kesarji ka naam sun kar gaal jaroor laal ho rahe hai sharam se"

And all the woman laughed gulaal couldn't bear it and she ran away in shyness

While bulbul and dhaani kept calling arey gulaal sun to mazak kar rahe the
