Asad loves Zoe but doesn't trust her

I think he does but he doesn't understand her well enough. He still doesn't know enough about her parents. He knows what she tells him. Or what he allows her to tell him. Just like she knows what she's told about him. I'm not justifying his actions. I am getting tired of him not trusting her. But at least this time he didn't insult her, or shout at her. He genuinely was baffled by her actions. Even if he remembers her fear of fire, I don't think he knows the extent to which it traumatizes her because to her it's a nightmare, an irrational fear. But once he learns about why that is, he will realize even more how cruel the world has been to her. She herself doesn't know that her mother died in a fire. And if she does.. she doesn't know she was a witness to it, I think.

I think her aapi can see how much he loves her and wants him to understand her better. Zoya can't be the one to make him realize, because she herself doesn't know why she's afraid of fire. what would she say to him? I was afraid of it because i saw it in a dream? I do agree he should've thought about it and at least asked her, WHY she was a statue. But it's Asad. He always thinks he's right. Now he'll realize that not only did he make the same mistake again, but also that he should trust her more. Or at least I'm hoping for the second part.

I know a lot of people are hell bent on bashing Asad. But he's changing. He's accepted it. And his changes are minor and subtle, but they're there. HOWEVER, I do want Zoya to stand up to him and point out to HIM that he doesnt respect her or allow her to explain herself. Maybe this time when he apologizes, he'll realize. Before he realized that she was alone in the world. Now I think he'll be more in tune with her inner pain and suffering, like she'd been with his about his ammi and abbu.

And I also think, that this revelation will allow him the final straw with which he can wholeheartedly accept her. It might take a little more time, but I think it's around the corner. I mean he has already admitted to himself that he is in fact in love with her. I think in their case, his trust for her will come gradually. I mean even the last time, with the blood sample. The first words out of his mouth were I'm sorry to her. No hesitation, no woh actually. Just a flat out apology. I'm just hoping after this, things start to progress, in terms of their relationship.
