It might have been funny but one has to understand the desperation shown through Rishi's decision. He showed a lot of gumption to enter such a profession just to gather money for his family. That is laudable. Now the possibility of earning 2 lacs overnight might sound impossible but here it is merely included because the situation in the story demanded Rishi earn back that 2 lac anyhow and return it to the poor. Not only does Rishi fulfill his promise but he proves to Indira that he can be responsible when the situation demands the same from him. That he shed any patriarchal vanity to don the role of Anarkali out of desperation shows Rishi in a very very good light. 😊 I was apprehensive at first but if the director decides not to include any stereotypical caricaturisation through Anarkali's body language I think this might be a very strong message against prevailing gender stereotypes in societies that limits a man's job and a woman's job and garbs them in very parochial hetero normative points of views. Anyway I think this is a challenging role to play on screen. Wishing Sumit all the best.
