Hip Hip Hurray!
This actor beats everyone else in the serial hollow! I could feel his pain as I can't feel either Gauri's desperation or Shiv's guilt. While I want to shake Gauri out of her stupidity and whack shiv for his helplessness, I want to hug and shake hands alternatively with Alokji. What a consistent performance!. True some of his speeches were dramatically written, but he managed to make them sound so real. The pain in his eyes and voice were so real.
I hated Gauri yesterday for what she did to her own family. (she also annoyed me with her excessive pleading to dadi). The acute sadness and agony her father, sis and aunt went thru for her were unbearable.
I for one think that when it comes to choosing bt one's family and one's dream, I would choose my family anyday if it means following my dream would hurt them so much. Plus, I believe that one's family should always come first.
The serial does try to point out some of these facts in a roundabout way but I don't think Ekta wants to focus on them too much as she's intent on showing Gauri as Pativrta and way too submisive so that at the end of the day, she will reap the rewards of her karam..whatever that is.
I sincerely hope that that isn't the message she's giving to all her female viewers!
Anyway, if anyone deserves an award for best actor in the next telly awards, it has to be the one who's essaying Alokji's role. Does anyone know his name? I only know that he is Bengali.
