What can I say about today's episode? It's got to be one of the best episodes of this show.
I don't have enough words to praise the caliber of acting, the great screenplay, the dialogues, the expressions and the direction. The episode was very focused around four main characters. Asad, Zoya and their guardians.
Asad:
He has come a long way in terms of his character growth. Today, he had no hesitation in dancing with his ladylove in front of all his family members and the way he held and gazed at her, no one could have any doubts that Asad mian is totally smitten by his fiance. His smiles were to die for. When Zoya acknowledged that she was jealous, his face literally lit up with happiness.
Today, Asad proved to the world that he is truly a lion- a protector and when it comes to his loved ones, he will do anything to protect their interest even if that meant taking full responsibility for his actions. Aapi asked him very pertinent questions, "Asad,yeh batao kya yeh nikaah nakli hai?" He knew it was his fault. He should have informed Zoya's jiju and aapi, but instead he had even convinced Zoya to not inform them. Even after finding out that ammi had feigned her illness, he didn't chicken out or play the blame game. Like a lion, he came to the defense of the two most important women in his life- his ammi and now Zoya. "Haan, yeh sach hai ki main aur Zoya nikaah karne waale hain." That statement lifted a weight off his chest and the smile on Zoya's face didn't need any words. One could tell, Dilshaad was very proud of his son. He had done what was expected from him- stand up for his family and his loved ones.
Later, he was cornered by Zoya in his room and then his ammi. While he didn't have any answers to Zoya's questions, his heart to heart chat with his ammi was the highlight of the episode. Ammi's words have hopefully given him the courage to confess his feelings to Zoya.
ZOYA;
Zoya started off with her usual possessiveness and feistiness but today the girl surprised me by admitting that yes, she is jealous. What a turning point in their relationship. It was quite evident by the passion and intimacy of their dance.
She was ecstatic to see her Aapi but her aapi's barrage of questions threw her off a bit. Aapi's questions were much needed. Thankfully, it forced Zoya to tell her the truth- she did this for the visa and this nikaah is a farce. It must have been really difficult for her to speak the truth in front of Dilshaad and everyone else, but Zoya has always had a very honest relationship with her aapi. There was no way she could keep her in the dark anymore.
When Asad announced that the nikaah was real, Zoya's expressions revealed how relieved and happy she was. I am sure Asad noticed that (he notices every little expression of hers) That was her immediate response- her heart's desire.
Later, when she was alone with her Aapi, she reflected upon Asad's statement. Did he really mean it? She knows Asad well. She knows he could backtrack at any moment. That's why, when the fire was still on, she decided to confront Asad directly. That was her best chance of getting a direct confession from him but Asad mian is Asad mian. Zoya rendered him wordless once again. His silence hurt her once again. How she craved to hear those words from him directly, without consideration for Dilshaad of Aapi's feelings. She was right- how long could they keep lying? They were going to end up hurting everyone else around them, but more importantly, hurt each other by denying these feelings.
AAPI:
Take a bow Zeenat. You were spot on with all your questions and allegations. What we have been saying for a while, she did it in 5 minutes. She is a wonderful actress and loved the way she confronted Dilshaad, Zoya and Asad. Her presence was the catalyst that they all needed. She made Asad confess what he has not been able to say. Once she found out the truth, her joy had no bounds. Zoya's well-wisher and her only guardian was thrilled to know that her little sister had fallen in love and was willing to get married. She promised to take them to Ajmer Sharif. YAY! Love you aapi. Please call jiju also. Zoya needs you guys.
DILSHAAD:
Dilshaad's dialogue with Asad was the highlight for me. Just like in Novemeber, her heart to heart conversation with Asad was much needed. She has always been perceptive and has always known that Asad has loved Zoya for a long time.
"do alag log hi ek doosre ke liye hote hain, unki mohabbat unhein poora karti hai.'
She is aware that Asad's hesitation stems from his insecurities about his parent's relationship. Dilshaad's confidence in her son- tum Zoya ko tho kya,kisi ko bhi hurt nahin kar sakte.
She insisted that Asad confess his feelings to Zoya. "ab yeh kaam meri ungli pakad kar nahin karna." Yes Asad, be a man.
Wish all moms could be so understanding and patient with their children.
Asad will never shy away from his ammi's command.
He will definitely try to confess on Monday. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Confession hoga? Hope so but Tanveer the great is planning something big for sure. Even her saazish to invite aapi has backfired.
Will she be lucky this time? I doubt it. Wo nikaah karvaake hi jaayegi. Thank you Tanveer. We all hate your intentions but love your actions.
