Arjun grinned at her reply and shyness….
He replied kissing her cheeks gently, "agar aisi baat hai phir kuch aur sochne ki zaroorat nahi hai Riya….tumaare demand mere sarr aankhon parr…[a few seconds of silence and he adds naughtily with a wink] par yaad rakhna, ab koyi bahaana nahi chalega….humein bohat mehnat karni hogi…..samjhi ya samjhaavum?"
Saying that he lifted her and twirled her once and slid her down only when they were inside the bedroom……

A few months later………
A cold morning……
Riya is sleeping with her head resting on Arjun's chest and his arms protectively embracing her….
Arjun opens his eyes slowly, gazes the sleeping angel for a long moment….he kissed Riya's forehead and placed her head down……
Off late that was his way of waking her up…..it made his day special…..….He placed a line of kisses down the cheek bone and then to her ears making her mumble huskily "Arjunnn" and shift in her sleep……He smiled at her response and it made him feel really special!

Well it was a special day as well….He kissed her ears and then whispered "Happy Annniversary wifey!"
That woke her up…….She opened her eyes wide and smacked herself….she had wanted to wish him first today but as usual, he woke up first and the more surprising thing was that he remembered the day as well….
She encircled his neck and pulled him a little closer replying sleepily, "Happy anniversary to you too my darling husband"
Arjun: anniversary aur bhi special hoti agar yahi baat ek khaas morning kiss ke saath dehthi……
Riya rolled her eyes…"pehle jaakhe brush karthe hai phir kiss toh kya kuch bhi….[she stops and turns away blushing]
Arjun grins and naughtily slides to the other side where she turned, 'accha…kuch bhi….then I am all up for it…..abi aatha hoom….i mean jaake aatha hoom"
He jumps out of the bed and rushes to the restroom to brush…..
Riya smiles at his playful attitude…and then says to herself,"Arjun, main toh aaj aapko aise gift dene waali hoom jisse sunnkar aapke hosh hi uddh jaayenge.."
She got up and went to the balcony to breath in fresh air…and tried to enjoy the morning breeze…..
It was just 2 days before that she had got it confirmed with her doctor…..and yes she was pregnant and she felt all excited and ecstatic about the new feeling….She had an urge to say it to him all at once but she held it to herself and thought she would say it today on their special day!…….
She couldn't contain it to herself and so she had spilled the beans to his mother and she was all happy and had organized a pooja and a family lunch…….
She couldn't wait to tell him and see his reactions hearing the news that he was gonna become a papa soon……
She felt his hands snaking her waist in a short while and snapped out of her beautiful trance……
When she felt a slight pull towards him and his hands pressing on her stomach, she shifted a bit and voiced, "plzz dheere se Arjun…."
Arjun was confused and turned heraround, "yeh kya hua tumhe, kal raat bhi aise hi keh rahi jaise ki tum koyi glass ka show piece ho??? Dho din se dekh raha hoom, humesha handle with care board lagaake ghoom rahi ho??Kya hogaya hai tumhe darling??"
Riya lowered her gaze smiling and replied, "hui nahi hai….hone waala hai….mera matlab hum dono…"
Arjun was getting restless by her broken sentences and hesitation, "hum dono kya?"
Riya: [taking his hand and placing it on her stomach gently] can you feel him Arjun?
Arjun: [raises his eyebrows and looks at her enquiringly] kaun??? [as if suddenly realizing, he is shocked beyond words] matlab main I mean hum…???
Riya: [nodding] haan Arjun…..hum dono mummy papa banne waale hai….I am pregnant!
Arjun didn't react for sometime quite contrary to what she had expected…..she had thought that he would gather her up into his arms and swirl her….May be she was getting filmy…she smacked herself and looked at his face to read his reaction…..
Yes he was happy, he had a smile as well but was he very happy, excited and ecstatic the same way she felt….well she didn't know….he was also confused….he was trying to come in terms with it……..
Then he looked into her face and then gathered up himself and smiled….."WOW…..thats great news Riya…tumne pehle kyun nahi bathaaya"
Riya squeezed his hands gently and enquired "aap khush toh hai na?"
Arjun instantly replied, "yes of course dear….yeh bhi koyi poochne waali baat hai, huh? Jaldi se ready ho jaavo….neeche jaakhe sabko bathaathe hai…come!"
RIya pulled him back," maine maa ko bathaaya tha….woh bohat khush hai….."
Arjun: that's great….so that means I am the last to know…WOW cool!
There was a little sarcasm in his voice……he added, "anyways, ready ho jaao…..sab breakfast pe wait kar rahe honge…"
Riya called out as he tried to walk out, "main aapko surprise dena chahthi Arjun, isiliye…."
Arjun turned back and snapped her short, "oh yes…I am surprised….thanks for that!"
Riya knew that he was upset for more than one reasons…..she could only shake her head and smile at his childlike attitude….

A little later, everybody in the family, the extended family and also the close knit friends circle are there to bless the couple on their special day….
They also take away Riya for showering their blessings for the good news she has given them……
Arjun stands alone on the balcony and is observing everybody….all were happy and cheerful yet he felt an emptiness somewhere……His eyes were fixed on Riya who sat with the ladies of the family and he could see her happily enjoying the pampering and also blushing and smiling at the comments they were passing…..
But he conflicted with his own mind, why am I like this?? Wasn't this a mutual decision?? And it was expected to happen as well…then why am I not feeling the same happiness as everyone else including Riya feels?? Oh God, mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai! Pls help me….
Just then, he felt a hand on his shoulder….he could sense who it was by the touch……
"Maa" He voiced as he turned around to face her….
