My Views On Potrayal Of Indians In India

So yesterday I found it really wierd how the ladies at that ceremony reacted as if jeans was an alien or something 🤣 I mean seriously? Why were they acting like they've never seen anyone in India wear them and only American girls or girls who live outside India wear it? As far as I've seen, teenagers wear traditional only on special occasions and jeans or even other western wear is considered pretty normal in India. I'm talking abt unmarried girls here btw cause I know its different for older women.I know she shouldnt have worn jeans to that occasion but the way those women reacted and called her jeanswali is just wierd.. I mean the uniform of schools in India is skirts for god sake so whats so shocking abt jeans? 😕

i knw.. i was actually laughing when they were shocked seeing zoya wear jeans... its like they never ever saw any person wear jeans.. and the funniest part was, when dil said how innovative her daughter in law is, and there was this middle aged woman who said, i love jeans, but my MIL dsnt let me wear them... that part cracked me up..
