Here is my introduction... in the suggested format...
About myself: 33 year old married Ph.D. student.
City/Country: Washington DC, USA
Interests: I study ancient Indian Buddhism from a textual angle (Sanskrit, Pali, Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit and Prakrits). I am also working on my Hindi since I think I should speak at least one modern Indian language. That's why I watch some TV shows in Hindi and why I read the forums here when I need to check out some info about those shows. That method (in addition to formal classes) worked great for me when I learned English years ago.
