Chapter 19

Khushi was feeling exhausted both physically and mentally. She tried to lay down on bed and NK and La came to her aid. After tucking her securely under blanket they went back to their previous positions. After some time Khushi started speaking again in weak voice.
"That night after that snake left my room NK came and saw me weeping. He told me that he had heard everything.I got panicked and started defending myself. He told me that he believe me and suggested that we should talk to my husband. I refused it as I knew it would serve no good since he was away. That night he promised me to keep an eye on that snake and he fulfilled his promise. Next day I received a call from my husband and he sounded a bit different but I wasn't in condition to pay much heed to it as I was myself still in shock of last night. But after that whenever I tried to reach him he was either busy or even if we talked he was always distant. I felt it but I thought that to be because of work tension. Time passed like this and finally the day of his arrival came."

Flash Back

she was feeling so happy that she was feeling herself on cloud 9. Ttoday her Arnav ji was coming back after almost 4 months. Though her and his family hadn't forgiven her wholeheartedly yet but she was sure they will forgive her now for sure. But Arnav ji was with her and she was very happy. Even though she was feeling some change in his behavior whenever she had called him coz he didn't call her himself but she didn't even bother to realize it and consider it just as a too much bussy routine for him as he was busy establishing his new branch in Dubai. It had took more time then Arnav ji had estimated but even then it didn't matter to Khushi because she knew that it was important. The whole morning she was busy in cooking all the dishes which her husband loved ignoring the comments of Mami ji who was taunting her as usual. She had done the cooking task just before the noon it took much time coz other ppl was also using kitchen for their cooking n plus she was giving extra attention to make perfect dishes the most important n tiring was KHEER which took almost two hours to pass to the standard which Arnav ji liked. It was the time when he was about to reach home she rushed towards her room n then bathroom she took a bath n then wore the red churidar Arnavji has gifted her alongwith many other dresses n stuff just before going to dubai. Their 6 months contract marriage had just almost one month left but he has promised her that he would tell both the families about his and her relation and the reason behind contract marriage and that they would re-marry with all rituals and blessings of both families. She did the minimal makeup as usual n left the room but when she reached living room she was unable to find Arnav ji . none of the other family members were present as they were gone to pooja in a nearby temple on Anjali's demand. She asked HP where was he. HP told that Arnav sahib has gone to office straight from airport. She was sad and decided to wait for Arnav in the living room n switch on the tv. She was busy in her daily soap that she didn't noticed that someone sat beside her. Suddenly she felt a hand on her waist. She was shocked n she turned towards the person and her eyes were shocked to see SHYAM JEEJA Ji sitting beside her and make herself lean on with his hands holding her shoulder n waist tightly that she flinched in pain and tried her best to move but she couldn't move because her delicate body was unable to move his harsh and strong grip. She closed her eyes. Just then the main door opened with a bang n Arnav came inside looking furious like hell. She was more than relieved to se him. Finally! She was safe now her husband was back. To her surprise Shyaam hadn't left her even after seeing Arnav. She was struggling to let herself free and finally after few minutes he left her. She got up at once and ran straight to Arnav and started weeping hugging him.

" Arnav ji hm apka kab say intezar kr rahay thay ap kahan reh gaye thay dekhaiyay yeh Shyam ji hamaray sath kiya krnay chah rahay thay lakin DM ka lakh lakh shukar hai k ap waqt pr pohanch gaye hum kitna dar gaye thay app jantay hain inhon nay kuch arsa pehlay raat ko hamaray saath chii hmain to batatay howay bhi sharam a rahi hai yeh achay chal chalan k malik nahi hain Arnav ji pehlay bhi inhun nay kai dafa… App ko to pata hay sab pr ab app a gaya hain hum apko kahin nahin janay dain jahan bhi jain gaye hum bhi ap k saath jain gay(Arnav ji I was waiting for u since long. Where were u? see what Shyaam ji was trying to do. But thanx to DM u came on time. I was so scared. Do u know some time before in the night he tried to do… I am feeling such shame even telling this. His character is not good Arnav ji. He tried many times before but u know everything. I will not let u go anywhere from now on and if u had to go then we will go together.)

she said while crying.He didn't hugged her back and she felt his stiffen form. She lifted her head and saw his face with an astonished expression.

"Arnav ji kia howa"(Arnav ji what happened)

She asked innocently

He pushed her hard …….. She stumbled a few step back and was caught by Shyam.She came out of his embrace with a jerk and shouted

" humain hath laganay ki jurat mat kijayga" (don't u dare touch me)
Shyaam was smiling and he said to Khushi

" Come on darling hum nay Salay sahib ko hmaray baray main sub bata dia hai he now knew about us ab jab k ap hmaray bachy ki maan banana wali hain to ab hum sy yeh drama bardasht nahi hota hamain nahi chahiya koi dolat ab apko yeh piyar ka natak karnay ki koi zaroorat nahi hain Khushi ji… meri kamai itni hai k main apka aur apnay bachay ka khayal rakh sakon hmain ab Arnav ki dolat ki koi zarorat nahi hai hai na khushi ji"(come on darling I have told him everything about us. He now knows abt us. Now when u r going to give birth to my child so I cant bear this drama anymore. I don't want any money now u don't need to do this drama of fake love. My earnings is enough to take care of our child and u. now we don't need his money)

Bus kijiyay shyaam ji DM k wastay bus kijiyay itni ghatiya baat krtay waqt apko zara bhi sharam nahi ayi main nahi di apkay bachay ki maan banay wali hai aur han mjhy Arnav ji ki dolat ki nahi un k piyar ki zarorat hai aur wo hum say bohat piyar krtay hain aur hum bhi un say beyhad piyar krty hain ayi ap k samjh main baat"

Then she run towards Arnav

" Arnav ji yeh bakwas kr rahay hain Arnav ji apko to pata hai na inhun nay pehlay bhi hm say.. ap ko pata hai na aur haan hum maan banay wali hain but app k bachay ki Arnav ji ap papa banay walay ho yaad hai hum nay apko call kit hi k hamaray pass ap kay liyay surprise hai ap jaldi ayain wo yehi khabar thi Arnav ji"(Arnav Ji he is lying. Arnavji do u know that he tried to.. you know that right and I am going to be a mother but this is your child. Arnavji you are going to be papa. Do you remember I had called you and told you that I have a surprise for you and asked you to come back soon. It was this very news Arnav ji)

She said while cupping Arnav's cheeks her face was shining with tears. Why Arnavji is behaving like this she thought. She was seeing maddening rage in his eyes and if not wrong hatred too but her heart denied to realize it. Arnavji had promised her not to mistrust her ever again. He love her so much. She found new confident and was about to tell him everything in detail when suddenly Shyaam came towards her grabbed her arm and made her turn to face him and he said firmly

"Khushi ji ye hap kia keh rahi hain hum manatay hain pehlay hum nay yehi plan kia tha k is bachay ko Arnav ka bacha kahain gay lakin phir yaad hain hum nay ap say kaha tha k ab aur nahi ab apkay aur hamaray bachay ko koi hum say door nahi kr sakta pehlay bhi kitnay din main nay ap k bagair guzaray hai wo to shukar hai k Salay sahib ko dubai jana para aur humain phir say apki bahon main jaga mil gayi ab hum sy bardasht nhai hota apk jism pr apki rooh pr bus mera haq hai bus mera"(Khushi ji what are you saying. I agree that we will show this child as Arnav's but do you remember I told you that I cant take this anymore.Now no one can separate me from you and my child. It was good that Salay sahib had to go to Dubai and I got u back in my arms but now I cant tolerate this.Only I have the right on your body and soul.")

Khushi slapped him on both his cheeks with full force

"Apko kaha tha na hamain haath mat lagayie ga kitnay ghatiya admi hain ap shyam ji aur kitna girain gay … di apko ktna chahti hain aur ap chi …. Arnav ji yeh sub jhoot bool rhay hain ap inki bataon ka yaqeen mat kijiyay"(I have told u already not to touch me. How cheap u r! how much u can stoop low…. "ISS KI BAAT KA YAQEEN NAHI KRTA AUR INKA KIA KRUN"(Ok I will not trust him but what can I do of these?)

Arnav shouted at the top of his voice and he threw about 50 photographs on Khushi's face which fell on floor and scattered on different places.
Khushi bent down to pick some of them and what she saw was that she was dancing with some random guys and they were touching her on different places. She was wearing quite revealing . She was shock like hell. Was it her? But how can it be… someone might have misused her face and did some editing with them. It was not her. She never wore such revealing dresses but her mind was going numb for some time. She moved her eyes from the pictures in her hand to all those scattered and she rushed n start picking them all her movement showed panic tears started flowing on her cheeks. She was looking at each of them with shock how can it be true. Yes it is not true. She started walking towards Arnav and stopped just beside him and said in a hollow voice

" Arnav ji yeh sub yeh sub kia hai yeh larki kaun hai" she asked him innocently.(Arnav Ji whats all this. Who is this girl)

"Oh my poor baby cant you see its ur own face you W**RE. DON'T U DARE TRY UR TACTIS ON ME AGAIN"
Her eyes welled up again with more tears she couldn't believe her ears just heard such bad language from the love of her life.How could he do that!

"Khushi ji yeh sub kia hai batayi hamain hum ap say itna piyar krty hain hum apkay liyay apni patni apna bacha tak chornay ko tayar ho gaye pr app yeh sub chi ap k itnay larkon say chakar thy aur hum samjhty rhy k ap hum sy piyar krti hain apnay kitny aram say hmain bewakof banaya. Ab hmain samjh main aya k ap itna zoor kion day rahi thi k hum ap k sath zabardasti kr rahay thy isi liyay k apki kook main jo bacha hai wo to hmara bhi nahi hai hai na isi liyay na chiii App kitni giri hoi larki hain mjhy to ghin a rahi hai ap nay humry aur salay sahib k piyar k sath khilwar kia apki jurat kaisay hoi"(Khushi ji whats all this tell me.I love you so much. I was read to leave my wife and child for you but you did all this. You have affairs with these many boys and here I thought you loved me only. How easily you made me a fool. So thats why u were saying I was forcing myself on u because the child u r bearing its not even mine. You are such a cheap girl. You disgust me. You have played with Salay sahib's and my love. How dare you?")

He was shaking her badly… Khushi was unable to say anything her mind seems to b unable to work
she again looked at those pictures and at the very moment some remarks about latest technology came in her mind from the show she recently saw on news channel that now a days its easy to play with pictures how faces can b changed using computer… that's it it all make sense someone used her face n pasted it on some other body.. She smiled and said in a happy voice
"Arnav ji humain pata chal gaya k kia galat hai apko pata to ho ga na aj kal kuch bhi krna kitna asan hai ap to itni bari company chalatay hain ap sub jantay hain phir bhi ap shyam ji k khail main a gaye inhun nay hamary darmian galat fehmi pehlanay k liya yeh tasverain tabdeel kr k apko behjien hain humain sub pata chal gaya hai Arnav ji ap hum pr yaqeen krain"

"BUS KRO YEH DRAMA BOHAT KR LIYA NATAK YEH TASWERAIN JHOOT HAIN YEH MJHY SHYAM NAY NAHI MERAY APNAY DETECTIVE NAY BEHJIEN HAIN AYI SAMJH TMHAIN AUR AGAR ABHI BHI TMHARA DRAMA CHANLANAY KA IRADA HAI TO CHALO AIK AUR SABOT DAITA HUN"

with that he turned towards his laptop bag and picked something from it and then went to the tv set n inserted a dvd in dvd player n started it… and then what Khushi saw she wanted to b dead on the spot there was she in a hotel room in the arms of a boy she never saw and what they were doing she couldn't b able to saw it for more than few seconds but she wasn't able to close her ears like she closed her eyes n the voices from speaker were making her mad

"BAND KR DIJIYAY DM K WASTAY BAND KR DIJIYAY"

but before Arnav could shut it there were gasping noises at the main door all three of them turned their faces towards the main door and wht khushi saw and felt it was unable to describe there stood the remaining members of Raizada family looking at the Khushi on tv and the one standing whether wanted to saw who was their khushi Arnav came to di and said "look di look wht a bi**ch she is she was playing with me with my feelings looks at her how could she di how could" He hugged her and started crying

"Arnav ji hamain qasam hai DM ki yehi hum nahi hain Arnav ji"

"Hello hi bye bye phati sari if it ij not u then pleej tells who ij she jour double parlt hehehehe" said Mami ji.

Nani couldn't stop her because she herself was not in her senses.. Khushi run towards Payal "jiji tm kuch kehti kion nahi tm to hmain janti ho hm nay kabhi kisi mard ko apnay kareeb nahi anay dia tm janti ho na jiji dekho shyaam ji nay yeh sab hamaray khilaf"

There was a sound of tight slap and khushi stilled with her hand on her cheek.

"Apki jurat kaisay hoi un kay baray main itni giri hoi baat kehnay ki Khushi ji" snarled Anjali… " hamain to hairat hoti hai ap pr khushi ji k ap aisi hain ap k kitnay chehray hain khushi ji payal ki shadi say pehlay ap itni masoom thi phir payal ji aur akash ki shadi walay din apka aik chehra daikhnay ko mila jab apnay chotay sy zid kr k shadi kr li aura b itna ghinaowna ilzam wo bhi in pr"

"Di shyaam innocent nahi hai is ka aur khushi ka chakar chal raha hai pata nahi kb sy hamari shadi bhi isi wajah sy hoi thi k main nay."

"Bus kr dijiyay chothay hum sub jantay hain inhun nay hmain sub bata diya tha k kaisay khushi ji nay inhay phansnay ki koshish ki aur phir mayos ho kr tmhari taraf ayi"
"Agar yeh masoom hain to aj yeh yahan kia kr rahay thay ap logon ko chorh kr"

"Kion k ap nay unhain bulaya tha khushi ji" replied Anjali

yeh such nahi hai di yeh kb sy hamara istamal krna cha rahay hain hum nay hamaisha inka haath jhatka apko yaad hai jub pichlay haftay apnay nay meri cheekh suni thi wo isi liyay k yeh hamaray bed pr hm pr charh gaye thay batayi jab ap apnay bedroom sy hamaray bedroom ki taraf aien to kia yeh apkay room main thay aur us say pehlay bhi" before khushi could complete her sentence Anjali felt her head circling becoz she wasn't feeling good even before and after all these shocks her mind just gave up and she was about to fall but both Syaam and Arnav came towards Anjali.Both hold her. Anjali spoke to Shyaam "Ap hmain hamaray kamray main lay jain" and before going she said to Arnav "Chootay ab humain is ghar main nahi rehna jahan ahamaray pati pr itna ghatiya ilzam lagay" and with that she went with shyaam
"Jiji tm to kuch bolo kuch to bolo jiji batao inko yeh sub galat hai bolo" Khushi pleaded Payal.Payal yes she will tell everyone that it could never be Khushi. She will side her. She waited for Payal to speak and atlast she opened her mouth.

" Khushi tm yeh sub… kaisay ?... kion kr rahi ho tm aisa pehly hmari shadi pr apni shadi racha li babu ji ko tmhari is harkat pr itna dukh howa k unko falij ho gaya.. pehly kia kum zilat krwai thi jo yeh sab… kaash amma babu ji nay tmhain apnaya na hota to aj hmari hmaray susral main naak na kat'ti"

Khushi was beyond shock her. Jiji was thinking she can do this she believes on all these things rather than her sister.She spoke in a hollow voice "JIJI tm bhi…." Payal averted her gaze from her eyes which were full of hurt. Arnav came rushing towards Khushi and with full force he slapped her not once not twice but four times and then started shaking her.
"Ab bhi tm yeh sub bakwas krnay ki jurat rakhti ho ab bhi???? tm to tawaefon sy bhi ghatiya ho k wo apni galti manti to hain main nay socha tha agar tm apni galti maan kr mjh say sorry kr lo gi to main hum dono k liyay koi aur ghar lay lung a pr tm is qabil nahi ho aur mjhy is ghar main tmharay wajood ki gandgi nahi chahiyay and he dragged him towards the main door from there.
"ARNAV JI ARNAV JI HMARI BAAT SUNIYAY HUMARA YAQEEN KRAIYAY ARNAV JI APKO DM KA WASTA ARNAV JI" She was pleading she was begging there were treas flowing on her cheeks and her face was wet with them but he was not listening. he will not let this woman trap him he dragged her to the gates and asked the gate keepers to open the doors and threw her out shouting
"I dont want to see the face of this sl*t near my home you got it otherwise you will be fired" and then he turned to face khushi and when he spoke there was a merciless tone
"Aur tm Khushi Kumari Gupta" he came near her and snatched her mangal sutar and wipped her sindhoor off while she was standing like she was hit by a jinx "Tm aj say azad ho jitney marzi logon k sath relations rakho coz wht else a s**t can do" and with tht he turned back to leave when Khushi came out of her trance "Arnav ji" She ran towards him "Arnav ji hmarai baat sunain hm ap sy bheeg mangatay hain hamara yaqeen krain apko apnay honay walay bachay ki qasam…" she was holding his leg with all the power she got.
"ENOUGH" he shouted and slapped her again with full force she flew towards the road but she again went towards and hold his feets again in her small fist "please Arnav ji hum nay kuch nahi kia humara yaqeen kijiyay hamara yaqeen kijiyay"
"TM MAIN AGAR ZARA BHI SHARAM BAQI HAI TO APNI MAUT(death) KI PARATHNA KRO KUSHI KUMARI GUPTA LAKIN TMHAIN PATA HAI" he said sarcastically "TM ITNI GHATIYA HO K MAUT KO BHI TMHAIN GALAYA LAGANAY MAIN GHIN ATI HO GI"
Khushi trembling body came to halt at this point and his words echoed in her ears maut ko bhi tmhain galay laganay main ghin ati ho gi"

Her Arnav ji wanted her to die. He thought her to be so bad that even death will deny to come to her. Was she that bad. She doubted. Was he the same man who confessed his love to her so many times,who made love to her in such a tender way.Who made promise to give her love all her life. She saw him gesturing to the guards to let his leg free of her hold and drag her to the end of road and the guards obeyed him. They didn't have to exert much force to pull her away from his leg as all her powers were drained out. He took a last glance at her and stormed inside the house.
But before the guards could drag her a voice came from the main door "STOP" Khushi looked above towards the owner of that voice and her heart jumped with joy. It was her jiji Yes she believes in her she knew that she would come she would believe her.. Khushi believed so until Payal Sing Raizada spoke what she wanted to spoke and after hearing waht she said Khushi's smile faded her eyes welled up with more tears how can her sister be so cruel They were sisters werent they? "Per JIJI" whispered Khushi … "Hum nay jo kehna tha keh diya bus" and she gestured the guards to continue what they were doing before and walked inside the house with her head above and her walk was elegant as she was the respected bahu of Raizada family and today she had proved her worth over Khushi thanx to Khushi herself. One thing which none of them noticed were pair of eyes which saw all this drama and followed till now and when the guards left the 1^st thing that person did was a call.The guards dragged her to the end with ease as she wasn't struggling at all she was doing was kept whispering It is not me please believe me … her eyes were shedding tears like never before when the guards dragged her to a maximum distance the older one sat on the road and kept a hand on her head and said in a teary voice "baiti yeh baray log kisi ki nahi suntay tm koshish kro jaldi ghar jao raat ho gayi hai aur akali larki k liyay yeh galiyan safe nahi hain" and with that he returned to the RM. Khushi remained there for about half an hour unable to move. All she wanted at that time was a high speed car run on her body . Suddenly she heard footsteps behind her. She got up and saw the man approching her. It was Shyaam. He came closer to Khushi and said in a hush voice. "So Khushi ji this was for slapping me and you know what I always knew you would reject me that night. I didnt come to have s** with you I came so that I could switch off your mobile as I had called Arnav in the morning and told him that you are carrying my child." When she looked at him with a visible question he laughed and said "I knew about your pregnancy even before you told me yourself. Only if you had accepted me in the 1st place you would have been so happy but now even I will not accept you." He then looked at her with a mocking smile "Where will you go now Khushi ji now that you sister has disowned you to be Gupta. Hearing this made Khushi remind what Payal had told her "Khushi dont you dare go to Buaji's house. You have given enough shame to Bauji's name for a life time. He adopted you,gave you more love than her own daughter and what did you return him. You eloped with Arnav ji on my wedding day. Then you didnt stop on that you go to this limit in putting our upbringing in shame. So from now on you dont belong to Guptas. I disown you to be the one. If you so much as took a step near the threshold of our house I will show all these pictures to Bauji,Amma and buaji. I dont want your dirt in my parent's house"
No she cant go home. She would not be able to see the hate in her parent's eyes. "Tell me Khusi ji" Shyaam asked again. "Yes I dont have anyone at the moment but I have my DM with me. I know Arnav ji is angry right now but he will come back to me soon. You dont have to worry about me. If anything you worry about is what you have done because one day you will have to pay for this deed. That day do remember me." Shyaam just laughed out aloud. "Anyways I have come to take blessing from your favourite goddess for my Rani Sahiba and I better go now as my precious wife will be worrying about me". He left the place casting one last glace at her. . After sometime Khushi somehow stood up and started walking aimlessly. Where would she go now? She cant go to her buaji's house as that was what Payal said. Thinking about Payal her mind recalled her exact words

She kept on walking hoping that it all turn out to be a bad dream. Hoping that her Arnav ji come back to her. She was feeling tired and she sat down beside the road when she heard footsteps. Thinking it might be again Shyaam she got up and looked towards the path. But to her horror there was a group of goons who were eyeing her with bad intentions. She started walking backwards and after a moment started running with her full might. She was running chanting DM help me but soon she she was encircled by the gang she started begging to them. They were laughing at her they were teasing her she begged them to leave her she was married , to not to do anything with her. They laughed more devilishly and one of them threw her dupatta on the side of road and caught her by her shoulders and with one go tore her sleeves. His nails left cuts on her arm n shoulder while doing.There was a loud scream which came from her mouth she started begging him.She used her whole strength to let herself free.She was shouting "Arnav ji Amma Bauji Help me. Someone help me please" but help wasnt going to come. Suddenly she felt a push and was caught by another boy of the gang.They were playing with their prey before eating up and were enjoying. they continue pushing and catching. She was feeling her head circling and at the same moment she was caught by the most rough hands in the gang One thing she noticed it was not only rough their hold was causing much pain she moved her head and was shocked as the guy was approaching her lips for kiss her mind was numb she couldn't think anything she silently prayed looking in his eyes.

She was again shocked to see his moment stop for sometime she thought her prayers got answered but the next moment her breath was stopped as she felt his hand on the zip of her dress and he started to pull it down and in a evil voice said "You look so nave not used by many it will be fun n pleasure to taste you darling"

With that he opened the zip of her kameez to the maximum possible extent and slipped his hand to touch her back… How she wanted to b dead at the spot how she wanted to b absorbed by the hard groun

He was coming closer to her lips but she glued her lips tightly …. No one can touch her lips except her Arnav ji she thought may be she can save herself by doing this but how innocent she was. The very next moment he felt his figures on the strap on her bra then out of no where rage flooded in her she opened her eyes no one is gonna help her it was only she who could take the fight till her last breath and thats what she was about to do. but before he could do anything the leader of ganag named Vinod gestured the boys holding her to hold her again but this time it wasn't easy for them to touch her as she was fuming with rage she pushed them and was about to run when vinod grabed her by her waist and pulled her to himself. Pain sharp pain which was killing her insides made her senses go numb. "My baby" was her last whisper before she go to oblivion. The gang ran out from the area seeing the blood seeping out of her. Khushi didnt know for how much time she remain there. When she opened her eyes she was in hospital. Nurse was asking her for a phone number to call her home. HOME? was there any home for her in this planet. She told her she had no one. When the nurse asked her who was she she answered the one word which her husband believe her to be "I am sl*t" They took her to OT for the operation. When she gained concious after the operation she asked the only question. "My baby" she had hoped that after all this he child was safe. She would go to some other part of India and will live for her child. She would never come back to Dehli ever again. It was not a good city for her. She asked the nurse again "hows my baby?" The nurse looked at her with eyes full of sorrow and uttered just three words."I am sorry" The mere three words crumbled her whole world. The mere three words destroyed her whole world. Three simple word but had such a gravity they had. She just stare at the nurse. Her hand went to her womb. She was no more carrying a child. Her baby had left her too. She denied to be born to a woman who was called a sl*t by her father. Even her child refused to be with her. Her eyes slowly moved towards her side VACCANT like her life and that when she cried harder then ever. And thats how NK saw her.
