It was the most heart-breaking feeling, to see your love just slip away into oblivion.. Zoya had never felt so shattered. She waved off to her phoopi and her best friend Najma with tears in her eyes, but those eyes yearned to see someone else's face. She looked up at the balcony half-expecting to see Asad's face. The engine roared to life and soon the taxi moved forward and the figures of Najma and phoopi soon blurred.
She knew she had done a terrible mistake by going to Ayaan's engagement. Her plan had miserably backfired. Her phoopi had been wrongly accused of trying black magic to ruin Shirin and her children's happiness, all because of her. Moreover, she had been blamed for poisoning an innocent girl. Why did it always happen to her? Whenever she tried to do any good to Asad she would end up hurting him all the more. Not even in her wildest dreams had she dreamt that things would take such a nasty turn. Now she was going back to the United States leaving all of them behind, it felt as if her soul had been ripped apart.
She felt angry too. She could bear everyone's hatred and anger but Asad's. How could he even think that she had actually tried to kill Humeira? When she was screaming that she had done no such thing, couldn't he have trusted her? After all the time she had lived with them and after all she had done to help him, he had chosen to believe what a hundred other people had concluded. Those eyes and their unspoken words of love, those caring words when she learnt about her father and those times when he had held her, had never meant anything to him. Those cups of bitter coffee that he handed her had seemed so sweet until now. After all that had happened between them, how much had he truly known or understood her? She had expected his trust thinking that maybe he believed that she could never do something so horrendous and evil. He had turned away his face when she was trying to justify her actions, simply refusing to acknowledge her intentions and emphasizing only on her idiocy for even thinking to do what she had done.
She wiped her tears and looked out of the window. Her life was a mess. Suddenly, something caught her attention. The object of her sight was unexpected and shocking. She had just seen raghu singh.. The same man who had tried to kill phoopi but had later disappeared into thin air. She rubbed her eyes out of shock but she was not mistaken. She could recognize that ear-rubbing gesture anywhere. Her first instinct was to call Asad but she knew he would not respond. The steps that she took next were dangerous but necessary.
