LEAVE ME ALONE: Preity's lashed out at media for reporting her boyfreind Ness Wadia's alleged fight.
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Preity Zinta's celebrity-tycoon-boyfriend Ness Wadia allegedly beat up some labourers outside her Bandra home leading to quite a furore on Thursday.
Instead of making any clarification on the controversy, Preity later lashed out at the media for intruding her privacy and crowding up outside her house.
"You have said that at 12 O'clock there has been maar-peet (a fight).
Tell me, which place in India do you have workers working in a building at 12 O'clock at night? You all put any kind of news in print in circulation and then the onus falls on us to clarify. On what basis are you putting a news item?" Preity shouted at waiting newsmen agitatedly.
According to a news channel Ness, a regular visitor at Preity's Bandra house, got irritated with the noise the labourers were creating outside her house and manhandled them. Preity, on her part, claimed that nothing like this had happened. Instead, she lectured the press on how they should not carry such reports.
She also said that the press should stick to reporting about her work and stop targeting her and Ness just because they were a pair. "If you want to talk about me, then say I'm the most beautiful woman and I have the most amazing films. Why are you bringing in my boyfriend and me and creating this mess?" she asked.
She challenged the press to find out the woman who was allegedly injured by Ness in a brawl. "You find me the woman who was reportedly injured. I say on national television that I will pay Rs 1 crore to any lady who has been injured. And that is hard-earned money for me," she said.
