KHURANA MANSION



"I am sorry Aman! Main jaanta hoon aaj tumhe bahot takleef hui hogi aur main bhi tumse kiya vaada nahi nibha paaya. Main Dev ko Ayesha ki chaalon se nahi bacha paaya. Main haar gaya...Ho sake toh mujhe maaf kar dena."

"Humne toh poori koshish ki Aman Bhaisaab ki aakhri iccha poori ho sake lekin Ayesha ne bahot aasani se Dev ko gumrah (misguide) kar diya." Raajiv stood looking at his favorite photo of him and Aman Bhaisaab together treasuring the best times they spent together and today his head lowered with guilt of not fulfilling his last wish.

"Haan Aparna main kabhi nahi bhool sakta uss din jab maine pehli baar Ayesha ko Aman ke ghar mein dekha tabhi hi mujhe laga jaise Aman ne khud apni zindagi barbaad kar di. Woh aurat kabhi nahi badal sakti lekin phir jab Aman ko apne parivaar mein khush dekha toh laga shayad ab sab theek hogaya hain. Maine ek do baar office mein bhi Aman ko Dev ke saath dekha tha, Dev bahot baar school se direct office aa jaata tha aur mujhe waakay khushi hoti unhe ek saath dekh ke."

"Kaun kehta hain ke rishtey sirf khoon ke hote hain, Aman aur Dev ka rishta kisi bhi khoon ke rishtey se zyaada mazboot tha."

"Sab kuch theek chal raha tha, lekin uss din Aman ke uss phone ne mere andar ke darr ko sahi saabit (prove) kar diya. Main jab usse milne gaya toh maine usse haara aur toota hua paya. Aman ne mujhe sab bataya ke airport se aate waqt Choti Maa (Nani) ne unhe phone pe Ayesha aur Rocky ke baare mein bataya tha aur jab woh ghar pohucha toh usne khud Ayesha aur Rocky ko Pari ke kidnapping ki planning karte hue dekha aur suna."

"Ayesha ke iss dhoke ka sadma (shock) woh bardasht nahi kar paaya aur usse ek massive heart attack aa gaya."

"Accha hua ke marne se pehle Aman ne apni will bana di aur apne dono bacho ka future secure kar diya. Woh Dev aur Pari ko Ayesha ke galat iraado ki bali nahi chadhne dena chahta tha. Pari ko toh humne bacha liya lekin Dev ko nahi bacha paaye." Rajiv concluded dejectedly.

"Aap sahi keh rahe hain aur aaj phir Ayesha hamaari zindagi mein toofan lekar lauti hain. Aaj sirf uski wajah se phir se maine Maan ka dil dhukhaya hain. Mujhe darr lag raha hain Rajiv kahin phir se Maan mujhse..."

"Aparna aisa kuch nahi hoga. Maan sab samajhta hain aur tumne toh ek Maa hone ke naate dono ke baarein mein socha. Bharosa rakho iss baar kuch galat nahi hoga." I assured her but...

"Main khud hi Maan se baat karungi, zyaada se zyaada mujhpe naaraz hoga, chikhega, chillayega main sab sun loongi lekin iss baar main apne bete ko khud se door nahi jaane doongi." Before I could stop her she was out of our room.

Maan was quite calm now. I had successfully pushed him in the bathroom for a shower. This would relax him. He walked out of the bathroom wearing his black vest and tracks, water dripping from his hair. Everytime he would walk out like this my senses would go for a toss. He was just irresistible!!!!!

Gaining control over my not so trustable senses, I held his hand making him sit on the bed and taking the towel to dry his hair when something caught my attention.

"Maan main abhi aati hoon." I made an excuse and rushed out of the room leaving the towel on the side table.

I was wondering over the sudden disappearance of Geet when I felt the familiar movement of towel on my head and I immediately knew who it was.

"MAA..."

"Maan...woh ...main...tumse...mera matlab..." She fumbled with words and it ripped my heart apart to see the similar fear in her eyes. I held her hand and made her sit beside me and spoke.

"Main aap se naraaz nahi hoon. I'm sorry neeche maine gusse mein aap se aise baat ki lekin main samajhta hoon ke aap ne aisa kyun kiya. Aap bahot acchi hain lekin woh log iss acchaai ke laayak (worth) nahi."

"Maan main sirf ek baat jaanti aur maanti bhi hoon. HUM MEIN AUR UNN MEIN FARAK HAIN AUR WOH HAMESHA REHNA CHAHIYE!" She exclaimed cupping my face with her hands.

"Maan aaj hum sab ke poorane zakhm (old wounds) aur woh saari baatein taaza ho gayi, sab ka jatane ka tarika alag hain par dard toh ek hi hain na." She confessed and thats when I realized all our past memories and wounds resurfaced it was just not me but everyone is suffering through similar pain be it Dad, Mom , Geet...everybody.

Resting my head in her lap I asked her. "Maa main sahi hoon na, maine theek kiya na. Aap mere saath hain na?"

"Haan Maan tum sahi ho aur main hamesha tumhaare saath hoon." She assured me as I laid there in her lap. Its been ages I had done that. I was felt relaxed and light from within.

Unknowingly tears brimmed out of my eyes seeing the most priceless sight Maan sleeping in Maa's lap. Somewhere today I felt all this pain had strengthened and bonded us all more strongly together. My reverie broke when Papa caressed my head lovingly mouthing a 'Thank you'.

I guess he knew I deliberately rushed out of the room when I saw Maa outside our room. I smiled at him and looking at Maan and Maa once again he left. I too turned around to give them some moments together only to bang into Vicky who looked very hassled.

I raised my brow to know the reason of his restlessness and the next moment he grabbed my hand pulling me along.

"BB iss emotional scene ko baad mein capture karna filhaal neeche jo action scene honewala hain usse handle kar do nahi toh meri khair nahi." He pleaded

"Yeh sab kya hain?" I stood rooted with shock not believing the sight before my eyes, turning around I looked at him sternly and he scratched his head giving me a silly smile and enlightened me with his master plan that had backfired miserably...

HANDA HAVELI

"Shukar hain bail toh mil gayi, jaise asaar nazar aa rahe the maine toh umeed hi chod di thi par uss Arjun ne kuch zyaada rode (hurdles) nahi atkaaye (block) hamaare raaste mein. Logon ne toh bekaar hi usse sar pe chada diya hain mujhe toh kuch khaas nahi laga. Shayad humse darr gaya hoga aur waise bhi hum Handa's hain" Veerji started off the moment they entered the house. Sadly Brij did manage to get bail so early I would be happy he was still kept in custody.

Pammi walked out with a tray serving water to all three, Daarji and Veerji did oblige but Brij.

(PS: I have changed Brij's wife name to Pammi. Hope u guys don't mind )

"Jee paani" Pammi said offering water to him.

"Yahan meri jaan sookhi jaa rahi hain aur tujhe paani ki padi hain, yeh paani de ke mere zakhmo pe namak chidak rahi hain. Nikal yahan se, manhoos kahi ki." He vented out all his frustration pushing Pammi with full force ofcourse cowards like him can only show their strength on women. Before I could help her a strong pair of hands held her not letting her fall and I breathed a sigh of relief having him back here.

"Tum theek ho?" He inquired and Pammi nodded her head quickly steadying herself.

"Oye tu yahan kya kar raha hain? Aur yeh meri biwi hain tujhe iski fikar karne ki koi zaroorat nahi. Samjha tu!"

"Main toh bahot acchi tarah se samjh chuka hoon, aur tujhse samajhna pade itne boore din nahi aaye hain mere." He curtly replied.

"Teji tu achanak yahan , aane ki khabar nahi di tune?" Daarji questioned him his tone clearly indicating his displeasure.

"Teji ko maine bulaya hain aur jise khud bulate hain usse aane ki wajah nahi puchte, hain na Daarji. Chalo main hi bata deta hoon, ab aap logon ka saara waqt ko court ke chakkar kaatne main hi nikal jaayega toh business main meri madad karne ke liye koi toh chahiye na, issiliye maine Teji ko yahan bulaya hain." I informed them leaving no room for argument and moved in towards my room along with Teji.

KHURANA MANSION

Shooting a quick prayer to Babaji seeing the happy faces of my whole family, sitting together for dinner, that all the mess got settled in the right time. Though I had been angry on Vicky for all the drama but had to accept that he did turn the otherwise sad and gloomy atmosphere of the house to a light family dinner. The presence of Yash and Arjun adding on to it.

Earlier when I had confronted Vicky on seeing all the mess around he confessed earnestly that seeing everybody so upset he wanted to ease the situation and also divert Pari who was sulking in one corner of the house ashamed with deeds of her Bhai and Mom. He tricked Pari that being the future Khurana bahu she has to impress all the family members by cooking for them and escorted her to the kitchen and ordered her to start right away.

Poor soul easily fell in his trap though she didn't know much cooking then to she made an attempt to cook something. Vicky had already shooed away all the servants for some other chores challenging Pari to cook single handedly but his full proof planning backfired as Annie and Meera joined in to help Pari. Vicky too didn't give up and to teach the girls a lesson he called Yash and Arjun over for dinner challenging Pari, Annie and Meera to cook all the favorite dishes for each family member.

Three of them not knowing ABC of cooking had messed up the whole kitchen, I couldn't help but remember Annie struggling to peel the raw potato with a butter knife which in turn flew right on my face while I was entering the kitchen. I had instructed Vicky to not let anybody come towards the kitchen. Taking up the thoroughly damaged situation in my hands I told the threesome to do all the cleaning while I cook as we had very little time left.

Phew!! Finally we did manage to fulfill the challenge and had warned Vicky against spilling any beans and he too readily agreed as if he double crossed us who would save him from the wrath of Dadimaa and Maa. Annie, Meera and Pari were so excited and serving everybody keeping up the act on my request that they had cooked all the dishes so the mood of family is lifted and everybody did believe it too...but Maan?

Arjun too loves Aloo parathas just like me and Maan who was not at all convinced with the fact that Annie could cook so well as all were praising them. He tried reading my eyes but I successfully dodged atleast thats what I thought.

But Alas!! The Great Maan Singh Khurana did strike and how...

To get to the root of the matter he requested Annie to make him a fresh new paratha and ofcourse that was impossible for Annie thereby all the reality crashed out and all of us became an object of their taunts and teasing even Vicky didn't let this golden chance go to settle the scores against us for that small dhamkaoing session earlier.

Maan smirking all along and finally sarcastically adding, "Annie agli baar kuch accha or realistic sochna, yeh baat kuch hazam nahi hui!!!"

"Bhai aaj aap ne sabke beech mera tamasha banaya hain lekin main bhi Anvesha Singh Khurana hoon aisa jawab doongi ke aap bhi yaad rakhenge!" Annie muttered to herself but I clearly heard it. This was not going to end here, there was more to come...

Wow after having a delicious dinner, the sight of my cute cribbing wifey was another treat. I wonder is she complaining about me or complementing me in her loud outburst to her Babaji.

"Babaji duniya bhar ki saari akal ek hi insaan mein daal ne kya zaroorat thi aap ko, aur daali toh daali par uss insaan ko mere hi palle bandh ne ki kya zaroorat thi aap ko. Dekha sab ke beech mein kaise mera mazaak banaya. Kya zaroorat thi sabke samne bolne ki ke aloo paratha maine banaye hain, ek baar mooh nahin bandh rakh sakte the par nahi, woh toh Maan Singh Khurana hain sacchai ke avtaar woh bhi sakshaat... kya soch rahe hoge sab mere baarein mein ke do chaar din mein hi pati ko poori tarah se apne vash (control) mein kar diya ke, mera khana bhi pehchaan ne lage. Chi chi Babaji aise besharmi wali harkatein karte rehte hain, main toh kisi ko mooh dikhane ke qaabil nahi rahi."

"Arre tumhe toh khush hona chahiye ke main tumhare haathon ka swaad jaanta hoon." I said kissing her hands tantalizing her senses and catching her off guard further continuing. "Ab socho agar main tumhaare bane aloo ke parathe nahi pehchaanta toh tumhe kitna boora lagta, hain na. Issi liye maine sab ke beech mein tumhaari tareef ki isme boora maan ne ki kya baat hain."

I tried to distract her.

"Aap toh rehne hi dijiye, mujhe apni chikni chupdi baaton mein phasane ki koshish mat kijiye, ek toh aisi besharmi karte hain aur upar se yeh sab karke mujhe manani ki koshish karte hain. Chaddo mujhe aap se baat hi nahi karni..."

Grabbing the golden opportunity I hauled her to me holding her tight and clearing my intentions I said.

"Baat kaun kambhakt karna chahta hain, mere toh kuch aur hi iraade hain, ab tumne mujhe besharm bol hi diya hain toh ab besharmi kar hi lete hain..."

"Maan... nahiii...dekho tum..."

"Hmm kya dekhu..."

" Tch tch Maan Veerji ne toh saara game hi ullat diya, sab kuch hamaare favor mein tha. Vicky ki bolti bhi humne dhamka ke bandh kar di thi lekin..." Pari cribbed.

"Haan Pari dekha nahi tum dono ne Maan Bhai ke kandhe par bandook rakh ke kaise Yash aur Arjun bhi hum par toot pade, saari agli peechli bhadaas nikaal di, jaante hain na ke Maan Bhai ke saamne hum kuch nahi bol paayenge." Meera too joined in complaining.

"Sahi keh rahen ho tum dono main dekh rahi hoon aaj kal Bhai kuch zyaada hi udne lage hain. Jabse Geet ke saath shaadi hui hain bade par nikal aaye hain unke aur Bhai ke saath saath baaki teen bhi bahot phudakne lage hain. Kuch toh karna padega."

"Hum kar bhi kya sakte hain, I'm sure ab tak toh Maan Bhai ne Geet ko bhi mana liya hoga. Kal phir se sab ek ho jaayege aur hume target karenge. Hamari toh koi value hi nahi hain." Meera concluded dejectedly.

"Tum dono fikar mat karo, ab tum dekhna main kya karti hoon. Bhai ko sabakt sikhana bahot zaroori ho gaya hain. Maine soch liya hain kya karna hain. SAHI WAQT PE SAHI VAAR!!!"

HANDA HAVELI

I was so relieved to have Teji back, I really needed him to keep a check on Dev and my family's conniving intentions though Rano wanted him to continue looking out for Geet but Teji had already engaged his trusted men in continuing our search for Geet. I wanted to discuss with him about the current situations but my phone buzzed suddenly and the news I received shocked my wits. Teji and Rano looked at my face which suddenly turned pale trying to reason out the cause when I declared to them.

"Kisi ne hamaari company ke kaafi shares khareed liye hain." Seeing their shocked faces and questioning eyes I interjected.

"Maan Singh Khurana Handa Constructions ke shares khareed raha hain!"
