Old songs can be cool

The generation now says that old songs are so: Boring...Classic..and so different to the songs like now..

Butt what do you fink..is that true?😛

I mean like there's a old song that goes like

Aapki Nazaron Ne Samjha, Pyaar Ke Kabil Mujhe
Dil Ki Ai Dhadkan Thaher Ja, Mil Gayee Manzil Mujhe

Now u would say that, that song isn't old cauz Bally Sagoo sang it 3 years ago.

Butt actualy it's a song that is quiete old😃

Now what do you say can old songs be cool or u better stick wid songs are on nwadays😃

I dont listen to hindi songs as much! But if given choice i would go for both coz My Kaki loves Old Indian songs where as my mum loves Mordern Indian songs! So i listen to both type of songs so i guess i wil go for both!!!😊

Without songs/Music = NO LIFE!😉

I agree with Dr. AS.
Not everything made earlier was great and not everything made today is trash.
The quality of a song not only depends on the music, but also lyrics. I think we are severely degrading in the latter aspect (majority of songs, not all) According to me, there are songs that are all-time favorites, while there are some songs that suit a particular mood, time / theme. Disco, dance masti theme seems to be the IN thing . Anything that is not cacophony is bearable to my ears.
However, I do not attempt to compare the old ones with the new ones. I completely dislike the remakes with half naked girls dancing to old classics- Call me old-fashioned or just plain old 😉!
Hopefully, film music won't lose the soul and variety it had earlier, but I do fear it happening.

That says it all!! There will always be good movies, music, actors, etc.

Yes a lottt of old songs are veryy good. But this is not to say that new songs are bad. There are some very good songs composed in the modern age.

Good music, meaninful lyrics, voice that has soul leads to a great song and we've seen these good songs in the past and now as well.

Music should touch soul. It doesn't matter if it's old or new. I enjoy some songs just for the beats.

We can't compare genres and old vs new songs is like comparing songs from diff genres. Both have its audience, time and mood settings where it is appreciated.

Having said that, a person's taste changes as one becomes older and mature and it invariably leans towards more soothing and classical melodies which are pleasing to the ears and soul..imho.

I couldn't agree more! I despise remakes and even remixes! I don't even know if I would call that "old school"... but that's how I feel. Some things are just meant to be the way they are! Stop tampering with them. Sheesh.

(I know we're not discussing remakes or remixes in this thread but that was something I had to say. Again. 😃)
