yeahj, anjali who couldn't tolerate seeing chhotey in any pain, who rushed around frazzled when he got burnt with tea, was utterly nonchalant after hearing he was kidnapped. and she who worshipped her husb, just burnt all his stuff on the night of the revelation, especially about her baby, and went to watch a movie the next day. yet the same writers wrote in 100, how a man terribly attracted to a woman and feeling every pain of hers yet not being able to overcome his own fears and trepidations could come rushing to see her when she was in trouble, but somehow just couldn't put his arms around her, though his body jerked involuntarily and his eyes shut to hear her say "i am broken." where did this sensitivity disappear to?

Episode 108

Punishment and Potion

He grabs her and pulls her in the room. He shows her what he has found on his computer. Her hand covers her mouth in shock. Here she was coming up to apologize and explain everything and he has caught her, she must think of something. He asks her what she wanted to accomplish. She says she sleep walks. What the? He asks if she was sleeping in this video. She says she was coming to apologize and if she tells him the truth he will laugh at her. She asks for forgiveness again. She tells him she thought he was doing black magic on her. She didn't know that Anjali had given him the lemon and chilies. She made a mistake and should be punished. He asks punishment, what kind? She looks and sees the rest of the juice and drinks it down in one gulp. What the?

She finishes the drink both are coughing. She tells him she has been punished and this is good now please forgive me. She hands him the potion and tells him to drink it and she says she doesn't know what has gotten into her the last few days, she has had strange thoughts. Buaji told her maybe someone was doing black magic on her so when I saw you chanting…."Chanting?" he asks. "Near the tree you were saying something," he looks,"you had the lemon and chilies in your hand, so I thought…I was wrong."Kushi says. She asks for forgiveness a third time and says drink the potion you will feel better. She nearly spills the potion and as she is leaving bangs into the door. He must feel her pain because he lifts his arm as if to help her. Boy Kushi, you are having a bad day! She leaves coughing and he is just staring at his crazy girl.

Anjali hands Lavanya jewelry and a wrapped sari in Arnav's favorite color. La is so excited as she thanks Anjali. Kushi comes and tells Anjali she has given the potion to Arnav. Anjali says that because of the potion she forgot so she now hands Kushi her gifts for Diwali. Kushi says she doesn't have a gift in return and she can't reciprocate. Anjali says she will get hurt if she doesn't take it and Lavanya tells her just to take the gift it is no big deal. Kushi says that both of them have done so much for her and Anjali says take it with love it has been given with love, would you rather me give it you in anger. Anjali hands her the Goddess and says she has a special veneration and Kushi can bring her sweets tomorrow. She takes the gifts but sees the payals. She asks Anjali for forgiveness and hands her back the payals saying she only wears her mothers for when she wears them she feels as if she is with her all the time. Anjali takes them back, she can understand.

Shyam is telling Babuji that he hasn't been home to his wife for many days because Kushi works there but it is Diwali so Kushi will be home so he will go home to his wife. Despicable Shyam takes a phone call from his wife in front of Sashi and tells her he will be home soon. Then he calls Kushi and says Uncle needs medicine and to come home early so he can say goodbye because he is leaving. Poor Sashi, no words just his looks of disheartenment and pain. Shyam turns around and says to Sashi he has married Anjali for money but has lost his heart to Kushi. That is why he loves her so much.

GH Payal opens the door to a coughing Kushi. She asks her for the potion. Payal goes to make it and Buaji asks Kushi to sit with her, she wants to speak with her. She wants to know what gift she will give her father. Shyam comes in with a wheelchair saying he bought it for uncle it will help him get around easily. He gets his bag and says guest will be coming so he is leaving to avoid what happened today. Kushi looks at Payal. Buaji says she won't let him go like this and he says he will come back soon. He says goodbye.

Buaji tells Kushi she can now bring peace and happiness back into the house. Buaji says 10 years ago her father did a good deed and now it is her turn to return the favor. He can't walk or talk or move and now that small girl is sitting in front of her. Can't she do this much for her father? OMG, Buaji, pours a little guilt on her shoulders. Can't she give him this much happiness? Kushi grabs her hand and Buaji tells her to let it go, nevermind. Buaji says that Kushi has said no and Garima is behind her but did Kushi know that Shyam had to tolerate the neighbor's taunts all because of her? Buaji ends with I expect you to change your mind by tomorrow evening.

Arnav is at poolside, coughing he remembers Kushi drinking the juice and asking for forgiveness and her telling him to drink the potion. He takes a sip…it is awful.

Kushi is in her room, heavy thoughts on her mind. She is being guilted into accepting Shyam's marriage proposal all because she was an orphan who has been raised in another family and this is her pay back. She remembers drinking the juice as her punishment for spiking it and Arnav drinking it and his suffering. She didn't mean to hurt him, she just thought he was casting spells on her. He is casting his spell on you Kushi but it is not a fake spell it is a real one; it is not a dark plan but a Divine plan, one that will bring them together for eternity.

Payal asks Kushi if the potion has helped and she says yes. Payal sit besides her and says she overheard her Aunt's conversation but Payal says do what your heart desires. We are with you and will always be with you.

Kushi is decorating for Diwali, she has paved a path for the Goddess Laxmi to enter the home. Payal says this is the first time they will not be spending Diwali in Lucknow but it is good because their parents are with them. Kushi adds and he will get courage too and it will be wonderful!

In the RM La comes ant tells Anjali that her sari is not red but blue. Anjali must have made a mistake and she apologises. La says please don't apologize no big deal. But yes it is a big deal because when Arnav sees Kushi…POW!

Kushi opens the box and sees a beautiful red sari.

RM Everyone is preparing for Diwali, lighting lamps and making sure all is perfect. Lavanya lights some lamps and Anjali tells her not only 3 because 3 is considered unlucky so light more. Anjali says light the lamps Kushi made. This aggravates Mami to go into her Kushi tirade. Lavanya goes to get more lamps and she meets Arnav. He looks very nice in his siler suit but his shirt actually matches Lavanya's sari. This makes me sad because I know what is going to happen. I think the creatives were giving us hints. He catches a lamp that has dropped from the tray that Lavanya was preparing.

He remembers Kushi saying that she made lamps and here is one in his hand. He remembers her, he can feel her, he sees himself removing the dirt from her eye, grabbing her, showing her his evidence against her, watching her drink the juice…..

He is her punishment and potion!

Episodes 101-102

"Don't worry, sab teek ho jaayega"

At last he gets to do something he'd been aching to do since she stepped back from her embrace and ran away. So much was wrapped up in this on teeny tiny moment, his redemption, his "sahaara" for her, in a way a confession of what she means to him. It was as if he got a second chance. Those tears he so despises were being shed behind her coverd face again, The same fear of losing her parents again was running through her "Hamse dobara nahi hoga (i can't do it again"). This time he wouldn't allow him self to freez, this time he wouldn't let anything not even his own inhibitions hold him back from giving her the "sahara" she needed. This time he consoled her "don't worry, it will all be ok"

awesome preamble. you said it right so many emotions conveyed in that short span of moment. Khushi's reliance on Arnav, Arnav's assurance for being there by her side.

This moment was not just limited to the last 24 hrs, it was a promise that she felt the power of, all that he was trying to convey through this one small gesture. This would be the moment she would be immersed in tying it to Shyaam's words "doesn't matter how deep the darkness is, i'll always try to bring light in you life. "

He was unable to make things right earlier that day when Khushi came to the RM to collect her salary. Both felt a bit awkward/ashamed for different reasons as they think back to her running to him. Before he could aske her about her father and maybe even a "tum teek ho" , Anjali comes and unknowingly takes away his chance

She took out a container and asked to put her salary in it. A gesture of almost begging but he doesn't degrade her proving yet again that all the "aukaad" "hesiyat" talk is just that, talk, he handed her the check with respect. i hope she got that.

Upon seeing the check Khushi became upset over the 3,000rs that were deducted by his accountant, right away he goes to get her a new check but she mistakes it as him walking away in anger and takes off before he can bring her the new check. Adding more to his guilt, he needed to somehow some way reachout to her and let her know.

So he pays the hospital bill for her, generous, but he feels like its the least he could do. She learns of it, right away feeling an attack on her self respect

"STOP! Did you pay this bill?"

"Yes"

"Kyu? why did you pay it? I was coming to pay it, i can take care of my fathers medical needs"

"i know" he tries to put her self-respect at ease, he knows how much it means to her, she would rather fall down from the 2nd floor on his office than to lose, and fight with him countless time to defend it "you were having trouble paying it and i feel that my accountant should'nt have cut your tds"

"yes i was having trouble but i don't need your ehsaan (favor), i can' handle it!"

"Khushi i know you can handle it"

She cuts him off, somewhere here it stops being about the bill "why are you doing this? i work for your family , i'm not a part of it. then why are you? " Love how the short tempered man keeps his cool while she bursts on him.

"woh kal hamne jo kuchh bhi kiya, pat anhi kya soch ke...dekhiye ham pe koi ehsaan mat kijieye ham sahe nahi paayenge"(whatever i did, i don't know what i was thinking)

gradually the Khushi hysteria bulds up, show the effects of his constant taunting of her aukaad. "I don't want your money, just because i became weak for some time doesn't mean that i want something from you...aap rehne dijiye (you just leave it)"...she slowly looks up to a patient silent Arnav who is only listening, and she realizes "oh God, what am i saying? i'm going crazy, you're trying to help me and--" abruptly ending her thought, she just walks away fast as she can...she finds a place to sit and cry away.

The state she walked away in, he had to be with her, he finds her.

She removes her hands from her face to him, and found a his face that said i'm here for you, and though she had scolded herself for needing his shoulder that day, she onces again shared her pain and fears with him. Didn't utter a word, just the one gestured, after which their eyes did all the talking. Whatever this was, it was real, undenied by both of them here. They sat there both unsure of how to react while the "tu hi bata mere maula" tunes fill the air.

With out saying another word, they both get up and go their opposite directions, he palats back she looks away, she palats back, he looks away, but both felt the other pull and finally their eyes meet before losing sight of each other. Love the symbolism, as opposite as they are, their pull towards each other will bring them together.

cuase they are the ultimate soul mates. so despite of so many differences they are pulling towards each other.

Later that night, Arnav laid in his bed thinking of the moment he thought he failed her, and this moments, where she looked back at him. He let her know he cares and much more, in the process freeing himself the guilt of not being able to... oh yes, finally he could sleep peacefully

The next morning brings a brave new day with their second similtanious sneezing. the last time he wanting her out of this house more than anything as he felt her make her place in his heart...errr his house, today is different, he may have been eagerly awaiting her arrival.

good observation. things have changed drastically in those months.

After putting that hand on her head, he can't put the breaks on this soft caring side to him. First he let her slide after the way she spoke of ASR, not knowing she was talking to ASR. She felt his caring eyes follow her everywhere making her nervous... its always been easier to deal with rakshas, laad governor than this guy. Later consumed by the newspaper, she brakes his favorite vase accidentally, she expected a full on yelling session from him, instead he took the blame when Di inquired.

"Di woh galati se mujhse tut gaya"...another little secret to stay between the two..."itna bhi accha nahi tha" oh i melted off my chair! "it wasn't that great?" no not enough to cuase his precious pain over it.

He wasn't done yet, when he heard Khushi's ploy to get a free silver coin, right away he knew he wanted to make this happen for her. He wants to make her happy after all the sad she's been through. So, he snuck not "ek"(one) but "do do"(two) silver coins in one of the 20 chamko detergent packages and sealed it back up...another secret, this time b/w him and OP. So OP was the first to know Arnav baba had a thing for Ms.Chamko huh?hmmm.

you know servants of the house know so many secrets of their masters. Back home in Pakistan, the servant of our nana's house was the official delivery boy of my khalajan's love letter.😆

She jumps with joy while he watches in hiding, just like her pain had transferred to his face two days ago, her pure joy had also transferred to him.

he did it to give a simple joy to the simplest girl.

Wonder when was the last time Arnave Singh Raizada was this happy...this must've been the first time in a long time. After taking in her joy, he walks over and puts on his ASR mask to cover his tracks

Arnav almost giving himself away "Nahi" he blurts out, quickly covering himself ASR ishstyle " Kahin nahi jaaogi tum, warna salary kaat doonga tumhari! (you're not going anywhere, or else i'll cut your salary)"...The good old salary threat, works like a charm every time.

Her tears have bugged him for a while now, but since when did her smile, her happiness become such a priority for him? sure this tragedy made has bought them closer than ever but the lengths he's going through just to see her smile, to take her mind off of her troubles and fears, how very sweet of this rakshas. He doesn't even realize his feelings are oozing out, and at the very least she's taking notice. The streak will continue till the sound of his ring tone snaps him out of it by the pool side, and he completely denies all he's oozing out here.

Self Imposed Exile

Kushi is praying outside of the RM to Devi Maiyya that she doesn't do anything wrong today. Om Prakash lets her in and asks what kind of sweet she would like and she says jalebi ofcourse. Lavanya says I knew it!

Mami is playing drill sergeant. She says to the decorators no talking just decorating. Got it?!!!

mami only can do that. basically she is good for nothing.

Lavanya asks Kushi why do they celebrate Diwali, Nani wants her to know. Kushi says she will tell her but first they must prepare the wicks for the lamps in Lavanya's hands. Kushi explains the festival of Diwali to Lavanya.

Kushi hears ASR's voice and almost overflows the lamp oil. Lavanya says to her to be careful. Lavanya asks why Nani says her mind is on exile and Mami says she would have liked to send someone else exiled too as she looks at Kushi. Anjali says wouldn't it be nice if Chote was here and that puts Kushi instantly in prayer to Devi Maiyya asking for mercy for her to send him to the office. Lavanya says he has stayed home but refuses to come down. They both don't want to see each other. Too vulnerable? Kushi is thanking Devi Maiyya and Anjali the mother of matchmaking, Devi Maiyya right hand, says maybe Kushi can help bring him down. Kushi is like no Anjali why force him if he doesn't believe in these things. Let's leave him be. Anjali says the one who brought him down on the last holiday is saying this? There is so much to do. Lavanya agrees she should help bring ASR from his self imposed exile.

Kushi says first you raise my hope then you smash it to Devi Maiyya. No, Kushi it is you and ASR who are placing a self imposed exile on yourselves from each other too embarrassed to face the other because feeling and emotions are happening that you both don't understand nor want to accept.

Payal is shopping looking at lamps for Diwali She says to the shopkeeper that his lamps are beautiful so give her ten lamps. He shows her a new gold one which is very beautiful. "I will take what she takes," says Akash. Payal says she can't take it from him and he says but it is Diwali. She puts the lamp down and walks away.

ASR is telling Lavanya to tell Kushi to decorate not him afterall she decorated the poolside. He stops remembers poolside and the tangled Kushi. He sees himself detangling her slowly. So close to each other. He steps back and says I am sure she'll manage. Lavanya says Di said it will be fun if he is there. He says what about his work? He is already operating from home. Don't pull me into this. He is not coming down.

Stay in your self imposed exile, ASR, that way you can build up your stone walls again against one Kushi Kumari Gupta.

Lavanya comes down disappointed that ASR won't come; he is making excuse about work. Kushi is happy. She has exiled herself too down in the living room so she won't have to see him. Hail Goddess, she says. Lavanya asks her to ask him. She makes excuse which each one is refuted by Anjali. She thinks he is going to kill her. Anjali has a sad face and Kushi looks at her as says she will go.

ASR says what to Kushi and she says her lamps are not lighting she needs his help. Your lamps? She means His lamps. She thinks there is a problem with the wire. She tells him she knows he is busy and she told Anjali that but Anjali wants him to end his exile. What the? Lord Rama's exile ended yesterday not yours. That's why Anjali wants him to come downstairs. She accidently snapped the wire it will get fixed if you come down. He looks up at her. She says no problem I know you are busy. She will handle it and she leaves.

What? He says.

She goes downstairs and thinks it will be better if he doesn't come. Lavanya asks will he come and she says no he has a lot of work to do. She will repair the wire herself.

A gust of wind'.she looks up and there he is Mr.Exile himself walking down the stairs'

He goes to her and says give it to me. Anjali says milk is boiling on the stove and Kushi says she will go and check. Mami stops her saying last time she spoiled the sweets. Mami will go with Lavanya. ASR grabs a stool with a roll of tape in his mouth he starts working on the lights. He says tape? Kushi says its in your mouth. Where is his mind? Who is he thinking about?

She starts working on the Rangoli with Anjali. She is watching him and he's trying to work knowing she is near. She tries to work but knows he is near, she is ditracted and proceeds to have a conversation with Devi Maiyya. Anjali asks what she is murmuring and she says about marriage. Whose marriage? Anjali asks. His ears perk up. Kushi answers mine. He is just staring at her and she looks up at him. She says no yours to Anjali how did you marry? He continues working. Anjali says it was not difficult to fall in love with her husband. Kushi asks love? She asks Anjali if her marriage was a love marriage. So how did you come to know it was love? We just came to know Anjali replies. He is still looking at her as he is working. Anjali says he loved me and cared for me and had all the qualities of a good husband. So there was no question of rejection. But anjali, Kushi asks, something must have happened so you knew he was the one. Anjali answers a man will come into your life with whom you want to see every moment, before sleeping at night and it is the face you only want to see when you wake up in the morning. She warns him and there he goes down bringing her on top of him right on the Rangoli. She tries to move but her hand is stuck underneath him. She is wiggleling it out and she falls upon him again. She tries again he says wait, he gets up and offers her his hand. She slowly takes it and he lifts her and she crashes into him again and splays yellow color on his neck. She sees it, mouths oh and goes to try to remove it with her other hand which he stops by grabbing her wrist. He points to her hand all covered in pink color.

There they stand two self inflicted exiles covered in color. Exiled from their love. They tried hard to stay away from each other but Devi Maiyya had other plans.

I Only Have Eyes for You

She notices she has splayed color on his neck and he has grabbed her wrist as not to touch him again with the pink color on that hand. They stand there for what seems like hours but it is only a few moments lost in each other eyes, so close, so intimate. She realizes their closeness and steps back.

arnav was literally lost in Khushi.

Anjali comes asking what that noise was and sees the spoiled Rangoli and a colored Arnav. She asks what happened and Arnav looks away and Kushi answers the stool slipped. She says no problem they can redesign. I am surprised she didn't ask her Chote if he was okay. me tooMami comes and tells Arnav he has the wrong holiday. It is Holi that you play with colors. Lavanya ask Kushi to come to her room and before they leave, Arnav and Kushi share a glance, and as Lavanya takes her to her room his eyes follow.

In Lavanya's room she asks Kushi to show her how to drape a sari; she would like to wear one for the holiday. Kushi shows her but Lavanya isn't getting it so Lavanya takes the sari off as says you show me.

Across the way, Arnav has changed and is now watering his plants. I never realized how close the guest room was to Arnav's room the lay out of RM is mysterious. we won't be able to figure out, whose room is where.😆but he looks up as he is watering his plants there is a gust of wind and he sees Kushi draping the sari. He is mesmerized. She feels it too and looks up at him. All his attention is now placed on her and not of watering his plants. her beauty was taking his breath away! Lavanya breaks his spell on her by poking Kushi and she snaps out of it, "huh?" Lavanya asks what happened why did she stop and to continue teaching her. Kushi tries to show her how to make the folds in the sari but with his eyes fixed on her she has difficulty concentrating. All it takes is one look from his chocolate puppy dog eyes, eyes only for her, and she is in another dimension. loved the chocolate puppy dog eyes.The folds of the sari slip from her hand, eyes fixed on each other, her heart beats.. dhak dhak, her breath hitches 'a little pant; Lavanya looks up and sees ASR. She calls out to him and tells him his plant's water is overflowing. He snaps out of it and realizes what just happened. He looks at her again, both fix their eyes on the other aware that something has happened again. Sweet oblivious Lavanya smiles and goes back to Kushi. poor La, her boyfriend doesn't have any interest on her.How cum it took so long to realize, Arnav actually was not her boy friend. She taps Kushi on the shoulder who is somewhere else in another stratosphere, she jumps and La says, "sari." Kushi tells Lavanya she is not feeling well and she has to go get some medicine.

Yes Kushi, being in the ASR stratosphere can make you light headed, tachycardic and dyspneac.never heard this words before,is it medical term? You go and try to find a medicine for the symptoms of love and attraction.

She recalls her words to Payal that when you love someone you see them everywhere.

She runs away and says to Devi Maiyya that whatever is happening isn't right. What is happening to her? Is this a fever or illness? She answers herself no nothing is wrong she is fine. Nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong.

She sees the security guard and says Namaste and when he turns she pictures him as Arnav again. Nahi! She runs away and leaves the guard wondering what happened to her. She runs into the RM and meets with the Laundryman who again looks like Arnav to her, she runs away from him. Praying Devi Maiyya she is feeling dizzy, she doesn't understand what is going on. She will close her eyes and she will definitely not see him and lo and behold she smacks right into him, the REAL Arnav Singh Raizada. Who has her in his arms, holding her arms length aaway, but their eyes fixed on one another, only for each other.

Again she recalls her conversation with Payal about love that flowers will shower ddown and she will catch stars in her veil and just at that moment that is exactly what happens. Kushi is now walkjing home from work and talking with Devi Maiyya. She says to her she has aslked for one sign but so many? She again recalls her words to Payal of her description of when she will find her love. She has seen him everywhere and in everyone. She has been showered with roses and the stars from above. She is not all right she asked for one sign. Lightening and thunder crashes. She says and you have shown me so many.

Kuahi gets to her home ofcourse when she worries she is eating her chana. Buaji opens the door says she is getting more and more confused everyday. Of course she is Buaji she just realized she is in love with Arnav and is being coerced to marry Shyam.

Kushi takes her father's medicine walks past Shyam who is saying she is late and murmurs she will be back after giving her father medicine. Kushi is reminiscing with her father about Diwali and what they use to do when she was yuounger. I love that Kushi treats him with the same love and affection and is always encouraging. She says to him she will bring him sweets for Diwali and then they will celebrate and he will soon recover. His eyes are full of stories even though his mouth can't express his words. With tears in her eyes she calls herself a crazy girl and she will go and see what her aunt wants since she is calling her. Shyam was spying on them he only has eyes for her.

Khushi and her father's bonding is very strong and very divine at the same time.

Mami is lighting lamps and Akash sees a golden one that reminds him of the lam Payal liked. She refused his gift saying she can not taking any favor from him. Payal is also lighting lamps and thinking about Akash.

Kushi is sitting outside under the stars and the moon tears rooling down her cheeks. A cup of tea has been placed beside her. Shyam sits down and Kushi wipes her tears. He says she seems tensed, would she like some tea? She refuse but he says then here and hands her a sweet box. Jalebi, of course. He says he knows they are not as sweet as her father's shop but he hopes it sweetens her Diwali. She smiles and thanks him. He says before she leaves for her to have a look and he call Buaji who turns on the lights. The house is all decorated for Diwali with lanterns and fairy lights. He says no matter how deep the darkness be I'll always try to brighten your life. He will always be with her. He only has eyes for her. Her smile seems to have slowly disappeared, as she remembers the one who should be beside her always. She sees in her mind Arnav placing his hand on her head at the hospital, Kushi is thinking deeply about it when Shyam reaches and takes her hand , placing his hand on top of hers; she is startled and pulss her hand and steps away from him. She drops the jalebi box and runs into the house.

It was so disgusting when shyam touched her hand.I was about to spew.

Garima catches her and asks if Shyam said anything to her. She tells her mother leave it they will talk about it later. Her mom says why don't you say anything? She asks what she thinks about the marriage. She says "tell me, my child" and Kushi can't answer her, she walks away.

Kushi is worried and when our girl gets worried she makes jalebi's, mountains of them. She is in deep thought, pros and cons, one hand and the other. On one hand her aunt and her mother are forcing her to get engaged to Shyam, her father is not well and on the other hand Arnav has been in her thoughts constantly. She asks herself how she can consent to this marriage then in this situation. What will be her decision? She daydreams of what itwould be like to be married to both men. Her image with Arnav very loving, sensuous and he snapping at her as always while her image with Shyam is one sided, him praising her all the time. There is no chemistry. can't agree more. She snaps out of it yelling at herself. This time, though, her jalebi has given her the answer. It has come out not in a round swirl but given her the name of her beloved, ARNAV.

Dear Kushi,

How many signs does Devi Maiyya have to give you for you to see the answer, even your jalebi came in the shape of his name! The gust of wind, the pull of the attraction,the distraction and the overflowing water and those eyes, those chocolate brown, puppy dog eyes, which Only have Eyes for You!

Khushi already knows that she loves arnav. but she is not daring to accept it, cause she knows how pole apart they are. how cum she can confess until she get his assurance. Arnav also showed her so many signals, but as long as he gives the green signal, she can't pamper her feelings.
