''Never. Impossible. All that is idealism. In the real world, all this doesn't work.'' How many times do you hear people tell you this? Probably every time one tries to raise a voice.

Throwing garbage on the road? Chalta hai yaar.

Dowry still in practise? Chalta hai yaar.

Minors working as household helps? Chalta hai yaar.

Arre chalta to tumhara dimaag nahi hai! I'm glad that for once, Uma behn's pride was knocked out. Because Chhanchhan, despite being ridiculed and taunted, was right all along. It was one guy who came back, one family who will refuse to take dowry, one bride who will get married happily. Atleast there will be ONE couple less to give in to the evil of dowry. Let's not forget the fact that the independence movement of India was led by ONE man, followed by millions. One is a lovely number, specially when it comes to mathematical calculations :'D So here's to ONE person change, we CAN if we try!

PS- Chhanchhan's family is just so damn mazedaar! :D

Great post!!!!

And since you quoted the example of Mahatma Gandhi, a quote from him which is so so true ...

"BE the change you want to see in others."

One person can't change the world ... but one person can change himself, or herself ... and that's how it starts.

Granted this is just a show, but it only takes one to start a movement and others to join.
Here it is just a show...so everyone enjoy.
Out there - there are a lot of causes one can contribute to.
If one person can affect a change in just one other person then it's a 100% of their effort...and just pass it forward.

awesome post...yeah if we dont bring in the changes in our own lives, how can we expect the society to change???/

the best thing about chanchan and friends is that they have taken an oath not to abide by the made rules of society, they are trying to bring in change in their own lives and not go about changing society...they practice what they preach...

Thankyou :) And ah! that is one of my favourite quotes :D Something I try to live by when I can. I actually took a sixth grader's plastic bottle she was throwing out of the bus. I came back home with it in my bag and Mom said- Saari duniya ka kachra utha kar le aati hai 😆

Very good post!

You are right, One person can't change the world.. but one person can change his/her own self, his/her own life..
It may not make any difference to the entire world but it makes a difference to at least some, to his/her family, friends and sometimes a broader group in the society.

CC is just a show, but this shows certainly have impacts and we should encourage these types of shows.
