Emraan Hashmi-Superstar or Flopstar?

With Ek Thi Dayaan coming of a sub-par weekend, Emraan Hashmi's so called "star-power" is in question again.


Can Hashmi sustain without the Bhatts and sex?
He's yet to prove it. The only success he has out of the Bhatt camp is TDP and OUATIM and while TDP is a Vidya show all the way. OUATIM is a multi-starrer.

Hashmi is yet to deliver a solo success away from the Bhatt camp. His last two films, Rush and Shanghai were complete washouts.

So it begs the question, does Hashmi really have any star power, can he actually bring people to the theatres or is it the Bhatts, sex, and sufi music that is selling?

He certainly has starpower! Lot of ppl have tried his route in the bhatt caamp-randeep hooda,dino moreo,kunal khemu but why did only he succeed ?? Its just sex and kiss has created an image for him and every hashmi movie should have it 😆

i never thought he could pull off a movie like jannat and make it a success. its both part were hits. he might not be a superstar but there is something in him that clicks. he is a dark horse of bollywood. he can do much more than being a stupid superstar anyways.

Hooda is having decent success with the Bhatts too.

If he's a 'star' why haven't any of his non-Bhatt films ever scored. Never mind a hit, they can't even open.

if randeep hooda was in ETD it would have collected less than even vivek oberoi's movies ! Akki's special 26 also had a 5 cr opening so he is also in the same league as them according to KRK 😆

Well Vivek Oberoi's two movies this year collected more than Rush, so I'm not sure if that's an insult.

He is a great actor but overrated as a star...
