i think he cares for her...and the reason why he can't acknowledge that he loves her is his GUILT! he realizes now that he's wronged her...and that's what kills him. he's fallen in love w/ her b/c of her warmth and love (u cud see that he was being moved by her love for him)..but in his mind, it's impossible for him to fall in love w/ a girl he's cheated. he needs to get that guilt off his chest and he'll automatically realize that it's hurting him to see her like that b/c his heart lies next to hers now.

anyway, loved that scene where gauri cried over the phone....and shiv got so worried that he quickly turned his car around and drove back to her.......just shows how just distress in her voice can even bother him

I think he is just at a friendly, protecting gauri from everything stage....he saw how she fought for him in the jungle...he has a soft spot for her now...but that doesn't necessarily mean love...sumtimes there are relationships like these that don't just mean luv but they are just there all on their own...and as for huggin i think he was just comforting her...that's all...i mean i want 'em to be together but shiv isn't there yet, he doesn't have feelings for her in that manner....but soon enough he will realize his luv too...that's wot we all are hopin and waiting for

The man currently in a mental state where he is continuously weighted down by a lurking guilt and shame over his actions... This is the only thing that is keeping him from accepting the undeniable. He respected her, but now that respect has grown into something else... Something which he does not want to acknowledge, but it doesn't mean its not there. Re-watch today's epi (I've seen it so many times now!!😳) and you'll se what I mean... if that ain't love, I don't have the slightest clue as to what could be...

I agree that he does have his guilt to overcome of but for some reason I seem to think that it is not going to go as smooth as we seem to think. Knowing how these soaps change by the minute and how they don't really pay attention to any details that they have showed in previous episode, I think they will drag this thing out with Shiv and Gauri till they figure out who is the replacement for Iqbal 😡 Hopefully tomorrow is the wedding and maybe we will see some very cute scenes between Shiv/Gauri. I hope there is dancing and singing and all that good stuff 😊 I am tired of this rona dhona and I am hoping Anupam is back in tomorrow's episode because he brings comedy to this show. I still keep on laughing that his expressions in Dadi's sangeet and how crazy he is and his comment about being Mr.India to Ipshita 😃

Yes, he cares very deeply for Gauri. It takes quite a lot of courage to face your mistakes, especially if you are a person like Shiv who has a big ego. The fact that he has faced it upfront and is willing to do amends shows the strength of his character.

If Gauri breaks this marriage then his father will not get what he wants. But it will save Gauri a lot of heart ache which she would have suffered as and when the marriage finally breaks after Shiv' father gets what he wants. One must remember that for Shiv family means everything. The fact that he is willing to forgo his father's need inorder to protect Gauri's happiness shows that he now considers her more a part of his family than even his own father.

But Shiv has been portrayed as the tough man. So he will not readily accept that what he feels for Gauri is love. I doubt whether he even believes in the concept of love. Right now he does not understand it. In all probability he make fake an affair with Ipshita to make Gauri leave him on her own. It is only after she has left he will understand what he feels for her is love. Until then I guess we will just have to bid our time.
