By the time it was 5:00 Zoya was all packed. She left her room taking all of her stuff with her. She slipped a note through everyone's doors and exited the Khan Mansion. Walking through with the exit she forced herself not to turn and look back once because she knew how hard it would be to stop herself again. She walked forward step by step having every little bit of her happiness being left behind. She walked into the car and the driver started the car. She put in her headphones and opened the window. As her tears fell, the breeze would blow them away. She breathed in India's air. The place where she found happiness and lived once again.
Her music wasn't helping her much either. She cried more to the Song Judai. One part of the song really hit her like a bullet.
'Tera Mera Milna Kismat Mein Likha Tha
Mil ke Yun Bichadna Ye Kyun Likha Tha '
She hated leaving her loved ones but she always had no other choice. Her family left her once and she hated that she was leaving her family for the second time.
The driver drove her to Shukria's house first. Zoya got out of the door and left a letter for her at the footstep of her house. She went back to the car and went off to the airport.
***At the Khan Mansion***
Everyone started to slowly wake up. It was approximately 7: 30 am and it was still a bit dark. Dark clouds had blocked the sun rays from entering the mansion.
~Dilshads Room~
Dilshad got up from her bed and went to take a shower. After about 25 min, she came out of the bathroom with a towel around her wet hair. She was about to walk out of her room when she noticed something at the footstep of her door. She bent down and picked it up. It was a folded paper with 'Zoya' written on the outside. It was closed with a green smiley face sticker. She lifted the sticker and opened the folded paper.
Dear Phupi,
I will thank god everyday that I met someone like you. Since I was 3, I had lost the feeling of a mother. I never knew what it felt like when an elderly would care for me so much. Even if I bothered you, you still cared for me. I will always keep you in my heart. Hope life brings us together at least once more. Will miss you forever!
-Zoya
Phupi was confused. She ran down to Zoya's room. She wacked the door open.
Phupi: Zoya?! ZOYA!
She looked everywhere, but Zoya was nowhere to be found.
Dilshad: NAJMA! ASAD!!! Quickly come down!
Najma walked out of her room and ran down to her ammi
Najma: What's wrong ammi?
Asad came out of his room joining his sister and Ammi.
Asad: Ammi, are you okay? Why are you yelling so early in the morning?
Dilshad had tears running down her soft ageless face.
Najma: Ammi! Say something!
Dilshad: Zoya's gone.
Asad: What do you mean she's GONE?
Dilshad: She left us, Forever..
Asad: She cant do that!
He stormed to his room to get his keys when he stepped on a piece of paper.
He bent down and picked it up. It was the letter that Zoya had written for Asad. He opened it slowly. It still had little wet droplets on the letter. Zoya's tears. He touched her tears and began to read.
Dear Asad,
Well there isnt much to say. It was all said last night. But I would like to applogise for coming into your life like this. I really hope that with time you can forgive me for bothering you, causing you trouble and wasting your time. I know that you will move on fast. But I would just like to say, Good luck for your future wedded life and I wish you all the best!
-Zoya
He held the paper infront of his face. Did he really loose her that easilly? Was she really just going to go like that? He went and sat on his bed while he continued to look at the letter.
*18 hours later*
Zoya finally reached New York. It was probably her worst plane ride yet. She had pretty much cried through the whole thing.
As she went through security and completed all the formalities, she went to the arrival area where Asif (Her friend) was waiting for her.
She walked up to him and gave him a friendly hug.
Asif: Welcome back Zoe
Zoya: Thanks Asif!
He grabbed her suitcases and walked her to his car. He owned a pretty nice car. It was a Black Lexus that was pretty new. He had bought it just 6 months ago.
He opened the door for Zoya and she looked at him. She had a flash back of all the times that Asad had opened the door for her.
She slowly sat in the car and put on her seat belt.
Asif knew everything that had happened. She had called him when she was on the way to the airport in India.
He drove her to her apartment not asking any questions, knowing she needed some time.
Precap: Zoya playing the guitar.
