What is Meera's excuse for putting the flower necklace or garland (whatever they call it) on Ani's photo? she could have refused ..this shows her enjoyment of privileges ..this is only human though

Meera waa passing by and Balraj told her to put garland she didnt know Nandini was going to bring a garland for the photo at least that is what is implied.

I dont see the link between this and her feelings for Nandini. Its humane to feel for another person when the person is broken.

No wonder nandini is in the pretence that meera did all of this on purpose, she will obviously feel neglected and that is the reason for the precap...if meera does what everything balraj tells her to do surely nandini will hate her

Meera can refuse many things Balraj asks her to do. Or Requests. Like she did when Balraj asked her to wear proper clothes. I wonder where that is gone now.

No there is a link. She is enjoying the rights given to her. She is staying in the house, that's her right. But, in religious and social terms , she has no rights. Her baby does. But not her. Ani never married her.

Even uf she liking the rights how does that negate or change what she showed n felt for Nandini??

Theres been lot of instances where Meera kept Nandini's interest on top. Even when Balraj begged her for staying she refused because of Nandini's sake and only when he blackmailed of dying she agreed to stay. In Nandini's absence too Meera showed concern for her therefore garland thing cant make her feelings a 'pretence'

I haven't watched today's episode yet, but this is why I keep saying Alokha is right and Meera has essentially become Nandini's souten rather than the mistress.
