He woke up even before the morning rays lit his room. That was his usual routine. He rubbed his eyes to get the good view of an angel sleeping peacefully keeping her head on his chest. Some strands of hair fell over her face. He brushed it aside bringing back her sleepy face to him. A slight touch of his finger on her cheeks brought a dimple smile over her face. She cuddled closer to him, rubbing her cheeks on his chest. He wrapped her with his arm and closed his eyes. His wife… his Pari's mom… was sleeping peacefully with him.
Its been almost 5 months afer their marriage. 5 months of a new relation… 5 months of new life...
He couldn't believe his lucky stars that gave him back his long lost life… which he had clearly neglected. And now, he was proud to say that he may be the happiest man in the whole world…
He was brought back with a slight knock at the door. He smiled. "aao meri angel…"
The door opened and the little angel rushed to him in her pick night dress. She climbed up to the right side of the bed that he used to take, while he gave out his right hand to have his little princess. Riya still slept peacefully at his left side, with her head on his heart.
Pari came to him and hugged him tight by his neck. He wrapped her too in his strong hands and kissed her hair. She got up and kissed his cheeks.
"good morning Pari… are meri angel ne brush bhi kar liya? Wow, so fast…"
She beemed with pride and looked at Riya.
"ha.. Mumma abhi bhi sorahi hai…" Pari smiles and leans over her Mumma and places a kiss on her cheeks.
Riya cuddles close again but this time she puts her hand forward and pulls Pari to her, smilling but eyes still close. Riya pulls Pari to Arjun's chest and kiss Pari's forhead. "Mumma ki Pari uth gayi? Aaja hum firse sothe hai…"
Arjun and Pari giggles at her words. Pari looks up to her Dad while keeping her head on his chest and winks. "Mumma bohot naughty hai na Pari? Dekho hum dono uth gaye… fir bhi wo uthi nahi…" Pari nods yes and giggles.
Arj: ab chalo, hum dono milke Mumma ko uthathi hai…
But Pari nods no and cuddles on his chest hugging Riya tightly. Riya smiles and holds her Pari too…
Arj: acha… ab aap dono mujhe uthne nahi doge?? Good, Mumma aur beti ke wajah se aaj Papa ko late hone ke daant bhi milega. Apke bhaiya se…
Both the girls opens their eyes and smiles at each other. They get up together from his chest and start to move away too.
Arj: are aap dono jarahe ho? mien tho aise hi keh diya tha…
Ri: kyu aap hi ko late ho rahe the right? Wo bhi hum dono ke wajah se… ab jao apne kaam pe. Hume bhi kaam hai. chal Pari…
He pulls both the girls back to him, landing them back on his chest. "are naraz math hona mere janeman… mien tho mazak kar raha tha. Tum dono ke bina mere kya hai?"
Riya looked at his eyes which screamed out his each words. For Pari, it was just her Dad's naughtyness. Riya nods no to him and he smiles weakly to her. He turns to Pari and gather her in his arms. "tho meri Pari school jane ko thaiyar hojao. Hum sab aaj jaldi niklege."
Ri: kyu?
Arj: aaj Comm. office pe ek meeting hai, jiske liye aaj jaldi jana hoga.
Ri: ok, mien jaldi nashta banathi hu. Aap Pari ko sambhaliye. Ok?
Arjun nods. "Pari aap jaldi apke uniform sab rakhiye… Papa abhi aya"
Riya tries to get up, but he holds her back. Pari rushes to her room. Arjun looks at Riya struggling to loosen his hold. "kaha ja rahe ho Riya? Wo bhi mujhe good morning wish kiye bina??"
Ri: chodo Arjun, warna aap late hoge.
Arj: ek good morning wish ithne time lega? Mien tho ek choti si wish hi mangi thi…
She smiles and lowers her eyes blushing. He pulls her chin up with a naughty smile. She leans to him and pecks lightly on his lips. "good morning Arjun…"
She tries to get up now. but he holds her back. "ye kya ithne fiki GM… nahi chalega…"
She smiles again. "ok then hath chodo meri…" he raises his eyebrows. "badi wali chahiye aapko??" he nods yes. "tho chodo…" he leaves her hands and she takes that chance and runs out of the bed laughing aloud.
Arj: not fair Riya… ye tho cheating hai.
Ri: bilkul nahi, aapne hi tho chota sa GM mangi thi. Aur meine dediya. Ab jao.. apni Pari ko sambhalo. Fir ye math kena hamare wajah se late hui hai.
She sends a flying kiss to him from the washroom door and gets in closing it on him.
He shakes his head unbelievingly, and goes to Pari, who was half way through her bath.. or rather playing with water…
After a while he brings out her with a blue towel wrapped around her, and him soaked in water. Riya comes in with a glass of milk. "are ye kya? Kithne bheeg gaye ho aap? And please Pari ko bed pe math rakho. Bed gile hojayega…"
Arjun places Pari on the floor, and looks at himself. He looks as if back from a ride in a water theme park. Riya looks at him. "aap ek gile biili jaise dikh rahe ho…" she giggles with her hands over her mouth. Arjun glares at the 2 girls.
Arj: haso haso… mere haal pe haso tum dono. Aaj bath math karna mujhse.
He walks out with a fake anger. Riya goes to Pari, both laughing hard, and gives each other a hi5. "papa bilkul billi jaise the na??"
Pari nods yes giggling. "ok ab bas.. chalo, warna papa aur gussa hoge." She place the glass back on the table and helps Pari with her uniform. And then make her drink her milk too.
After that Riya walks to her room and so Arjun is out after his bath, searching for a shirt with a hand, while rubbing his hair with a towel with another hand. Riya walks to him. "hatiye… mein dethi hu."
But he is damant. "nahi, I'll do it by myself."
Ri: acha ji.. ithna gussa. Are Arjun, mazak kar rahe the na hum dono… naraz math hona. Now move, lemme help you.
Arj: miene kaha na nahi…I'll do it…
But she place her hand on his lips. He looks at her with the naughtyness and also with fake anger.
Ri: wow, gussa hothe waqt kithna hot dikh rahe hai aap. Koi bhi lady criminal ke samne gussa math karna please… warna Pari aur mein sadak pe ajayega…
He couldn't help his smile at this. He pulls her to him and takes away her hand. "acha, ithne fikar hai… ye tho mujhe patha hi nahi tha."
Ri: kaise fikar na karu? Agar wo aapme lattu hogaye… aur by chance aap bhi fisal gaye tho hum kya karenge??
Arj: (as if thinking) hm, point to hai. waise mien kuch din pehle fisalne hi wale the… patha nahi kaise control kiya?
Riya push him away. "kya???"
Arj: ha yaar, ek thi…Lakshmi Rai, tum dekha hoga… singer hai, wo tho mujhe pe full on lattu the. Bechari chor nikli… and you know what, usne mujhe thalashi dene ke bhi permission de di thi…
Ri: kya? Aaj kal manners kaha hai in ladkiyon ko?? Aur aap bhi aise bol rahe hai, jaise usne koi award derahe the apko… chal jao, jaldi se ready ho jao. Mujhe bhi office jana hai.
Arjun pulls her back to his chest. "are mere jaan, ab tum naraz ho rahe ho. mien tho uss ladki ko saaf saaf batha diya tha ke 'I'm not interested.' Ab jab tum aur Pari ho, tho mujhe kisi aur ke kya zaroorath hai? huh??" his husky tone melts her down.
She hids her face in his chest and he hugs her tightly.
Ri: ab chalo Arjun… der horaha hai. aur aaj mere zindagi ke ek bohot bada din bhi hai.
He breaks the hug. "kya aise kya baath hai?"
Riya smiles at him. "abhi nahi, surprise hai. aapko bohot jaldi patha chalega. Ab jaldi aajao. Mien bhi dress change karthi hu."
She moves away from him after kissing his cheeks. She takes a long white kurta and blue jeans and moves to the washroom. By the time he puts on his shirt and combs his hair, she is out changed. She goes to the mirror and combs her hair and gives him the sindoor box. He takes a pinch and fills her hair partition and kiss her forehead. This is his routine when evr he is at home in the morning for the past 5 months. And then they goto the table and have their breakfast. They have some family funny talks with each other and then Riya and Arjun arranges back the kitchen. And by that time Pari combs her already arranged hair again and gets ready with the school bag.
Riya completes her attire with a matching shawl… and together they get out after a small prayer at the Bappa idol.
First they drop Pari at her school, after giving her a good bye kiss and the Arjun drops Riya at her office. "bathao na, kya special hai aaj?"
Ri: sabr karo ACP saab, sabr ka fal meetha hi hotha hai.
She winks at him and walks off to the office and he drives to Comm. office where Sam, Aisha, Sree, Chotu and now Liza was there.
Sam: aaj bade jaldi agaye Rawte… kya baath hai?
Arjun rolls his eyes. "ek bar ghar pe bache hone do Sam, thab patha chalega…Aisha ek request hai. isse sara kaam karwana please…"
Aisha blush and lowers her eyes.
Sam: ab chalo. Sir wait kar rahe hoge.
After some formal greetings, Comm. breaks the news. "so team, aaj se apke team me ek nayi member ane wale hai. jo ek crime journalist hai. jo apke kaam ko logon thak pohonchayegi."
Arj: but sir iske kya zaroorath hai? ye media coverage…
Com: zaroorath hai Arjun. logonko patha chalna chahiye ke akhir ETF kya kar rahe hai. aur mujhe nahi lagtha isse team ko koi nuksan hoga.
Sam: as you wish sir. Kab join kar rahi hai wo?
Com: aaj hi. In fact by the time you reach office, she may be there.
Arj: ek lady journalist hai??
Com: ha, koi problem Arjun?
He nods no.
Com: ok team, all the best with your work.
They go back to the office.
Arj: are yaar, ab ek journalist ke hi kami thi. Ab age piche wo bhi ghumegi, mic pakad ke…
Sam: sir ke order hai Arjun. we cant help it.
Sre: I hope koi budha wala journalist na ho.
Liza: keep your hopes high specky.
They reach the office. Neha comes to them. "sir, team se milne koi conference room mien wait kar rahi hai."
They move to the conference room. They are shocked to see the person. She flashes a dimple smile.
"hai, mien Riya. Riya Arjun Rawte. Aaj se aapke team ke sath hogi. As a crime journalist. Jo apke kaam ko logon thak pohonchaye!!!"
All are shell shocked. Especially Arjun!!!
