But yaar kisi third person ke liye nahi marna chahiye tha :(

Third person LOL

Ek baat bata... koi bade kuch galat baat kar rahe hon aur hum interfere karke bolne lage beech mein sahi batane k liye, toh humari mom bina baat jaane humein hi daantegi na?? kyunki humne interfere kiya
use negatively lena hai ya postively, its upon us...
negativly lo toh hum kahenge ki Maa humse pyar ni karti..or blah blah blah
positvely dekha jaaye toh Maa ne sirf humein apna samjha..uski baat sirf hum samjh sakte hain..koi third person nahin :)

Neha K , I always like your post but not this one. When child enters a adulthood, relationship between parent and child changes. Parents need to treat child as a adult first then their child. And you can not hit physically to your child...fullstop. Slap can not be justified or glorified.

I watched the scene few times and I saw something that was a revisitation of earlier scenes where Jeevika raised her voice to express herself- be it during the initial stages of the marriage or during abortion track- the emotions were not out of place! This time it is slightly different because Jeevika raised her on Manvi and it could be argued whether she was right or wrong BUT it definitely cannot be used to question their relationship!!

Like you said Neha, we get scolded for things that we do- be those right or wrong- and hell sometimes even for things that we didn't do! And when it comes to parents- mothers never encourage or bear their kids holding an opposing stance against their father even when he is wrong and even when you stand up for your mother against your father! (Been there done that) And coming back to the scene, how often has it been the case when Jeevika raised her hand on Manvi?! I mean that is no reason to justify the act but really after all that Jeevika does for Manvi and puts up with her silly acts/mistakes at times, she doesnt have the right to vent out once and exercise her right as a olders sister/mother?! And given the gravity of the situation, it is normal for one to act like that and I am sure that after the end of it, Jeevika will apologize without having her ego get in the way!

If Viren could excercise his right on Virat then how are Behnas any different?! Both have raised their siblings like their kids!! Ignore the fact that Jeevika is Manvi's sister for a second and think it was her sister-in-law who slapped Manvi who stated something unpleasant about her brother-in-law- then this would have been considered "normal"! Cuz we are used to see saas-bahu/devrani jethani conflicts on screen and if those devrani/jethani happened to be Behnas, then its just a crime?!
