Cheti Chand is a Sindi New year. No Mangoes for me 😭... But a Vishu sadhya (feast) on Sunday... Too much eating with a mountain of rice and loads of veges. 😆

Thanks for the info. Have fun eating on Sunday. I tried today to make puran poli. Big fail. 😭 we eat neem and jaggery, this mixture symbolises that life is a mixture of bitter and sweet.

Puran poli is my fav. Haven't had it since I left Bombay :(. Wow the custom you follow sounds very interesting and symbolic. If I may ask which part of the country is this from?
