"Khushi where were you? Is this a time to come home?" Payal asked as soon as she opened the door.
"Offo, Jiji let me breath, will you? As if one was not enough in the office." She said and rolled her eyes.
"Now enough of these questions jiji, I will answer them after eating the dinner. Just now I am dying with hunger."She pouted as her stomach grumbled.
"Achcha baba, you go and change your dress while I heat the food." She smiled looking at her mad sister. Khushi has always been a foodie. She wondered how did she managed without eating for this long.
Khushi jumped at the food as soon as Payal brought it. "Arre , wah jiji! Aloo ' poori and jalebis!" She exclaimed looking at her sister. Her sister knew her too well to know that she was missing Lucknow terribly and no other thing than jalebi can lift up her mood.
"How was your day today Khushi? Did you adjust in the office well?" Payal asked while caressing her head. They were sitting in their bedroom and Khushi was busy munching her jalebis.
She gulped down the last piece quickly before speaking. "Jiji you won't believe this. That laad Governor is the CEO of AR Design. If Amanji had told me this earlier I wouldn't have joined it."
A gush of horror crossed through Payal's face as soon as she heard Khushi speaking Laad Governor. Nevertheless, she was determined to not show this to her sister and remain her pillar of strength. She hated this man after that incident. She quickly composed her face and told her angrily "Khushi, there is now way I am allowing you to go anywhere near to that monster. You will leave this job tomorrow itself and will find work somewhere else or we are going back to Lucknow by the next train."
"Jiji, I have signed a contract with him which states that if I leave the job before one month then I have to pay him twenty lakhs." She told her quietly .Her sister didn't get angry easily but after what he did she was hardly able to control her anger whenever his name came up. Though she was the one who was reluctant to leave Lucknow at the first place but now suddenly Delhi seemed better to her. She didn't like the idea of leaving this city. Suddenly Delhi seemed to occupy a special place in her heart. Was it because of the aura, the beauty it had or was it because of someone? She didn't know why and didn't think about this topic much. She had much more important matters on hand than this that needed to be taken care upon.
"If that is the case then you are leaving this job as soon as one month gets completed. If there was a way to get twenty lakhs then I would have never allowed you to go there again Khushi. Babuji is already in so much financial problems and we can't add more fuel to it by asking him this much hefty amount of money."She said helplessly. "Now get some sleep, you must be really tired. I will just keep this plate and come."
No matter how much she hated him but couldn't help herself from thinking about him. She didn't like the idea of quitting the job after one month. She would not get to see his face again. There was not a single moment in which she had not thought about him in the past few days. She tried to sleep but for no avail and drifted off in her past.

He was sitting at the poolside after eating his dinner feeling much calmer from what he felt since the past few days. No matter how much he tried to be composed and serene after his return from Lucknow, he failed miserably. Every time he closed his eyes that beautiful, hazelnut tear-filled eyes haunted him. He thought many times that whether what he did was wrong. He got restless as soon as he thought about this. But after seeing her today at his office he felt some peace in his mind. Somewhere deep down his heart he knew that what he did was wrong and she was as innocent as his sister in this. If anyone was at mistake then it was Shyam. However, as soon as some signs of guilt appeared in his mind he brushed it off thinking that she was no more than a cheap middle class girl who was trying to trap rich men in her traps. This was one more reason that he didn't let her go today as he wanted to repay for his deeds. He thought about how his and her sister's life changed within a month. How broken she was when she came to know the truth of Shyam. How she didn't blame Khushi for all this and considered her as innocent as she was in all this. With these thoughts in his mind he drifted off into a long but a disturbed sleep not knowing what the future held for him, for his sister and for him and Khushi.
