Righteousness,honesty,respect for elders, tolerance,endurance, perseverance there is so much to learn from Kumud and Saras's character. It really helps to see an idealist, make that two, on screen. I have always been one and felt out of place in my world. Being an outspoken woman like Kumud always brushes people the wrong way - doesn't matter if they are Indian, Desi or in my case, American mixture. I am glad someone like her is shown in a positive light in this show rather than being called ahem, "hitler didi."
