Buaji and Khushi were chatting and having their breakfast when suddenly Khushi's eyes widened and she ran up to the washroom and threw up. " Arey titaliya what happened? " Buaji ran up to her quickly.She held her head while Khushi continued to empty the entire contents of her breakfast and her previous night dinner.

Buaji brought her a towel after wetting it and ligtly wiped her face " Titaliya are you alright? " she asked, concern and worry etched in her face .Khushi nodded faintly."Come titaliya sit down " she took hold of Khushi's shoulders and made her sit on the couch in the living room.

"Titaliya what happened ? You hardly ate anything now but pretty much threw up everything you ate since yesterday evening.Something wrong with the food? Hai Re Nandakisore ! come titaliya lets go to doctor immediately " Buaji continued talking, feeling helpless and caressed Khushi's face in concern.

Khushi looked into the worried eyes of Buaji and decided its time she come out clean with her and tell her the truth.She gingerly held Buaji's hand and made her sit next to her.

She continued holding Buaji's hand and taking a deep breath she said softly "Buaji , I have something to tell you.But pls don't be angry with me for not telling you this earlier "

Buaji frowned confused and touched Khushi's cheek with her other hand "Titaliya what happened you know you can tell me anything and why would I be angry with you ? "

Khushi gave her a faint smile and continued softly " Buaji am pregnant.Avinash did not leave me alone he had given me his child " she said touching her tummy as she spoke.

Buaji just stared at her open mouthed in shock "What? ! " she whispered "you are pregnant? " Khushi nodded her head and confessed everything "Yes Buaji.Am so sorry I hid this from you. I dint want to worry you more.I knew you cry almost everyday thinking about me and my future and if you come to know I carry a child within me, you will worry more.I dint want to add up to your worries and worsen your health more " she said dejectedly.

Buaji still sat shocked, Finally she found the voice to ask "How far along are you? " Khushi gulped "Almost 3 months Buaji "

Buaji's eyes widened " Hai re Nanda Kisore !! How can you hide something like this Khushi? Am your Buaji and ofcourse I will worry about you but that doesn't mean you hide such a big thing from me ! " Khushi knew Buaji calls her Khushi only when she is upset or angry with her.She knew in this case it's the former.

Khushi clutched her hands again "Buaji I know its very wrong of me to hide this from you.Pls forgive me " Buaji saw Khushi's pleading face and worried eyes.She felt her heart lurch at the pain she saw in Khushi's eyes.How can god be so cruel to her sweet niece who had never even hurt a fly.She felt tears prickle her eyes but for the sake of Khushi she controlled it.

Pasting a smile on her face she cupped Khushi's cheeks "Titaliya its ok I forgive you this time.But from now on you will not hide anything at all from me Ok? " Khushi felt guilty at that , she is hiding something else from her too but no way she will tell Buaji.She had done enough to increase her worries as such.Smiling faintly she nodded "I promise Buaji "

Buaji hugged her " Congratulations titaliya you are going to be a mumma soon ! " She smiled genuinely.Now that, this is going to be the game of fate, She will ensure Khushi and the soon to be baby will get every happiness in life from now on.

Khushi smiled , glad that she finally told Buaji.She can now share her happiness of becoming a mother. "Thank you Buaji.And pls don't worry about me, am perfectly fine.You know Buaji, am really looking forward for the arrival of my child , he or she is what I have now " she said carrassing her very faint bump on her tummy.Since she is thin she hardly showed yet.

Buaji kissed her forehead "Am always there for you and our junior titaliya or Nanda kisore . This is the time you should be very careful and take care of your health.Get ready soon lets go to the doctor " She said.

Khushi gulped and muttered a quick 'Devi Maiya save me ' to herself ."Uh Buaji actually Arnav took me to the doctor last week and she had giving me some vitamin tablets and asked me to come for check up in two weeks " she said and waited for Buaji's reaction.

She dint have to wait for long "What ??! Arnav know about this and that duffer too went along with you ? Let him come I will fry him like I fry those jalebis " Buaji almost shrieked.

Khushi quickly explained " No No Buaji actually last week I had vomited like this in bakery and he became very worried.So I had to tell him the truth.He then took me to a gynecologist and had me checked up.Buaji pl don't be mad at him, I made him promise not to tell anyone "

Buaji raised her eyebrows "Ya ya I know you brats.You always stood up for the other.But this time I wont let him so easily " Khushi tried to hide her smile,looks like Buaji is in one of her so called angry mode and hoped Arnav will not make his entry soon.

She suddenly frowned "Titaliya how come your in-laws dint come to visit or call you all these days? You are after all carrying their heir ! Are they not concerned about you? "

Before Khushi could make up something , Arnav made his grand entry much to Khushi's surprise and shock."Hey Lazybones ! Hi Buaji Subhe subhe what is the serious discussion about? "

Khushi thought of giving him a hint to save him but Buaji hit him lightly on his shoulder and went straight to the point " You duffer how dare you went along with Khushi and hid her pregnancy news instead of talking sense to her? You both think that now that you are grown ups , you can hide things from elders? "

Arnav looked like a deer caught on the headlights.When he came inside he wasn't expecting to confront an angry Buaji which kind of reminded him of an angry bull. "Uh huh Buaji uh " he looked at Khushi for help.

"Buaji I told you na its not his fault I made him promise.Its my fault so don't be angry at him" She came up to his rescue immediately.And Arnav looked gratefully at her , when Buaji finally relented and said "Ok anyway there is no point in scolding you.I know you will never give away anything which Khushi tells you " she said smiling admiringly at the bond these two shared.

Arnav grinned "You got that right Buaji. That's because I don't want to be killed by your niece " Khushi slapped on his arm playfully and he chuckled.

Buaji then remembered what she was asking Khushi before Arnav came in."Arey Titaliya you dint answer my question yet.Why dint your in-laws come and see you even once all these days . You are pregnant and its their heir " Khushi flinched when she heard Buaji say the word 'Their heir again ' she just hoped her fears will not come true.

"What ?You are pregnant? " Came a voice behind them, Shocking the daylights out of the three.Khushi turned to look at her Mother-in Law standing at the doorway with a shocked expression on her face.

Khushi couldn't believe her eyes, this is the first time any of her in-laws have visited her after Avi's death and what a timing she thought standing shock still.But before she could find her voice, Buaji was the first one to react "Arey Manoramaji Namaste pls come in.How are you ? " she asked while she a very angry Manorama Kulkarni inside the house.

"Hello hi Bye Bye! I don't think how am is very important at the moment Madumatiji.Lets cut the formalities. What were you saying a minute ago? Is Khushi Pregnant ? She is carrying my Avi beta and our house 's only heir? How can you hide this from us? " Manorama asked directly looking at Khushi with accusing eyes.She hardly gave a glance to Arnav as she is still under the shock of this news she overheard and very pissed off.

Buaji looked at Khushi puzzled realizing Khushi had hid this from them too.She was now angry with Khushi for hiding this to her in-laws too.However its not the time to give Khushi a piece of her mind. She looked at a fuming Manorama and stuttered " Manoramaji pls pls -- calm down.Have a seat first .Actually I came to know about this only now.Khushi had not even told me.The crazy girl thought we all worry about her and hence hid it.Children of this generation " she said trying to cover up for Khushi.

Khushi just stood rooted to the spot unable to answer while Manorama glared at her and her Buaji. "Due you think I will believe your crap? What kind of brought up has she had? Hiding such things from elders? And When were you even planning to tell this Khushi? " she said spatting angry words and stood before Khushi directly.

Arnav had never felt this helpless and angry at the sametime.Helpless because he couldn't hold or comfort her as she stood their shocked and terrified.He was angry hearing the accusations of her mother in law and unable to say or do anything about it.He knew its not his place to butt in.He stood there clenching his hands as he watched Manorama glaring at Khushi whose face has totally lost all color.

"Am talking to you! Stop acting as if you are innocent and scared I will never buy it " She said scowling.Buaji was shocked to see such behaviour from Manoramaji.

Khushi looked up and whispered "Am sorry sasuma.I dint mean to hide it.Its just that I dint want anyone to worry more.I came to know about this only after Avi passed away.I thought I will tell everyone when the time is right.But--- " She said while laying a protective hand on her stomach.

Manorama raised a angry hand in front of her face in a gesture to stop " Shut up I know you too well. I dint want to see you at all.But my husband pestered me to go and see you atleast once.Thank God I listened to him this time.Else god knows when this Maharani was planning to tell us " she said sarcastically looking at Khushi.

Buaji cried silently her heart breaking into pieces.She went and clutched Manorama's hand "Manoramaji pls don't say that. Khushi would have never kept this from you for long.And besides this is not something you can hide for a long time.She is young and probably thought by hiding this she is saving us from worry.Pls forgive her I beg you on her behalf "

Manorama glared at Buaji and Khushi and said sarcastically " You all finally proved how cheap the lower class can be " with that she angrily went away.She was not in the mood to talk further or stay in this disgusted place anymore.

After she left.Buaji almost fell on the couch holding her head with her hands.Khushi just ran away inside without saying a word.Arnav just stood there unable to decide what to do.It was a shocker to have finally met her mother in-law and judging from the way she talked an evil one at that.He can now understand why Khushi was scared to share the news of her pregnancy.

He sat next to Buaji who was weeping now "Buaji pls don't cry.Everything will be fine soon " Buaji cried harder "How Bitwa did you not see the way she spoke my titaliya? I always thought Khushi had a very caring and loving mother in-law.I think I was very wrong " Arnav just patted her shoulders in comfort then looked in the direction Khushi ran away.He knew where to find her.
