He went for the truth and as long as both are for the truth, no troubles shud befall them.....

The only problem that they want to solve is the misunderstanding created between Babuji and Sneha....and Babuji's damned dignity and ego

yea he is supporting the truth. He knows that she has supported him in many ways and now it's his turn. It's also becuz he needs to prove to everyone that Sneha is not a bad person who is trying to break up the family.
