Watching the last two episodes, it surely looks like they are turning Shiv into a negative character - from grey to black.

Granted that Shiv is an angry man and he lost his cool with his father-in-law. As a result of the tussle, alok was thrown/fell over bridge. But if he was indeed a good man, he should have tried to save him, maybe jump after him or get some help. On the other hand, he tries to hide all the evidence.

Reaching his home, he pretends nothing has happened. Even the next day when the police arrive he is only concerned about covering his track. Remember his foresight in getting another pen exactly like the one his f-in-law gave him? He also tries to use the situation to his advantage by asking Devika to transfer the land to him in return for the divorce from Gauri. How much more ruthless can you get? So I dont think there is anything in his character to redeem him.

Have a strong suspicion that the current twist has something to do with IQ quitting the serial. This is Kekta mai's way of seeking revenge. Ruin his character, so his fans will find him despicable. This will also ensure that audience will not miss him when he actually quits. Some new hero or Anupam may be paired up with Gauri.

How can he be so mean & cunning?
