And finally only a case, and for the first time no Riya, meaning only on the actual persons working in ETF Arjun, Aisha, Rathore, Shree and Chotu...
Part 1:
A lady was walking down the road after having bought everything she needed from the supermarket. She was happily stroking her belly and talking to it, while pushing her trolley till the place where her vehicle was parked.
"Patta hein baby, aaj holi hein? Papa bhi hein humare saath aaj shyam ko! Hum sab holi khelengein! And next year you'll be here to play holi with us!" she was saying to her belly. Suddenly while she was crossing the parking till her car, a car came very fast at her and hit her, and without even stopping just drove away. A few people who were there at that time rushed to her help...
Half hour later
"What yaar? Today is Holi? And these two are making us work? Hitler kahin ke?" Shree was saying to Chotu. And even Chotu was acknowledging it to him. Both were busy sharing their miseries, while Aisha who sat quite near them was hiding her smile while listening to them. She thanked god that Rathore and Arjun were standing very far and thus couldn't hear these two.
Arjun was standing near a window, watching outside completely lost in his thoughts. Despite everything he couldn't bring himself to forget that today was Holi, and his mind took him back to those Holis he spent with Roshni.
While on the other side, Rathore was standing with a marriage invitation card in his hand. One of his college friends was getting married and he was invited. But he didnt wanna go, so he was thinking how to get out of this without hurting his friend. He was busy devising a plan, when suddenly his phone started to ring.
"Hello, ACP Rathore speaking," he said and listened carefully to the caller for a few minutes, and then finally said, "Yes, Sir, dont worry. We'll start working on it right now!" After cutting the call, he turned to look at his team and said, "We have a new case, it's a hit and run case. A pregnant lady was hit by a car deliberately. She's the daughter-in-law of the commissioner's friend. Hence this case has been given to us!"
Arjun had immediately shifted all his memories of Roshni aside, when he heard Rathore's phone. He turned and waited for Rathore to tell them about the case, and he nearly forgot to breathe when he heard that the victim was a pregnant lady, and he couldn't stop himself from asking, "Is she alive? And the baby?"
Rathore turned to look at Arjun when he asked those questions, he could see the hidden tears in Arjun eyes. He knew why Arjun was asking so many questions, because Roshni had been pregnant when she was killed. And neither Arjun had known about it till the post mortem had been done.
"I dont know, the people who were present at that time have rushed her to the nearest hospital, but i dont have more information about it," Rathore replied in a gentle voice. Then he turned back towards his team and said in a stern voice, "Arjun and Aisha will go to the hospital, while me, shree and chotu will go on the crime scene to interrogate all the persons present!"
About one hour later
Rathore, Shree and Chotu reached the crime scene, where the police had already put barriers where the accident had occurred. Rathore checked around for anything suspicious, when he saw that this parking was under surveillance, it had cameras almost everywhere.
"Shree, there are cameras everywhere, maybe we can get more clues about this crime. Go and have a look at them!" Rathore said, "while me and Chotu will interrogate the people here!"
While at the same time in the hospital
Arjun and Aisha had just reached the hospital and were getting out of the SUV. But Aisha could see the tensed look on Arjun's face, he was also sweating a lot even though the temperature wasn't hot at all.
"Sir, are you ok?" she asked a bit unwillingly, because she knew Arjun hated when people showed any sympathy or concern towards him.
Arjun was shocked at Aisha's question, turned to look at her with fire in his eyes, "Do i look unwell to you! Maybe you have forgotten, but let me remind you that we have a case here to solve, so let's not waste time in chitchat!" and he entered the hospital without waiting for her.
"Khadoos kahin ka!" she said angry at herself for even asking that question to him, but then before he came back and scolded her, she rushed in the hospital after him.
