Why only Mahadev has to save the earth? Why Brahma dev didnt come and punish Indra for cutting the head of a man who was his bhakt? Why not even Vishnu? WHy only Mahadev,? I am sorry if I am rude, I have little knowledge of the myths. but this is not correct.

Actually, the murder of Trishiras was followed by his father, Twastha, invoking Vritra (this was how Vritra was created) to go and attack Indra. Indra suffered initial reverses, and only won after Rishi Dadhichi gave up his life so that Indra could make a weapon out of his skeleton.

Also, there are actually 2 versions of this story, which I described in in the WU where Trishiras was killed. In the other account, Indra had a pretty good reason for killing Trishiras - the latter was actively plotting to make the asuras powerful since he had a conflict of interest.

One thing I would like to share with everyone is that there are several purans each dedicated to a particular god suc as shiv puran's hero is shivji vishnu puran's hero is vishnuji
brahma puran's hero is brahma ji and
bhagwad puran's hero is Devi adi shakti durga mata many deviyans

so each puran describes stories revolving around their dedicated god evn if the story is same then according to the purans their version wud differ

I noticed it long time back when I read Shiv Puran and Bhagwad Puran same stories but treatment diffeent each told the tale according to the heroic action of the dedicated god
so in shiv puran shivji did many sacrifices he is the main god the first god he is the soul of universe

if you read vishnu puran then cishnuji is the most important god and the param bhagwan is considered vishnuji he is the main god

bhagwad puran says which I also believe thatenergy adi shakti is the main force behind the creation she is the one who created shiv brahma and vishnu

she is the one who divided herself into two halves and one became herself adi shakti and the other half was none other then rudra ishwari and ishwara
together they form ardhnareshwar from which cosmic aum came out and themn from it an egg from which purusha or narayan and so on
this ishwara was formless it was depicted as a pillar

so my point is that according to each puran their hero is the most important god the first god and each god has done many sacrifices to save creation srishti
lets not forget vishnuji got shraap from durvasa rishi who separated both lakshmi and vishnu so that they both took birth on earth in human form as shri ram and shri sita mata
surya dev also sacrificed his son hanuman who died once only brahmaji revived him

brahmaji's sacrifice was great too even if he wronged that noone wud worship him shiv himself coursed him when he watched mata parwati with lust in his eyes I cant exactly remember what was supposed to happen read long time back

so guys shiv puran is not complete knowledge read other books purans too and you wud get addicted like it happened with me 😆😆

there are several stories same stories found in other purans as well but have different stories or reasons and yes in this serial many things have been added which are not ture
they think people are useless they have no idea about their own texts yes upto a oint it is right but their are many people who are reading sanatan dharm texts just out of interests too esp younger generation I was surprised to find that out but facebook is full of such people 😆😆

no that not true read other purans as well to know how much othes efforts put in to save this entire srishti
