Parvati's Memory Loss is this actually Mythology?

My knowledge is very limited, but as far as I read, NO. I haven't come across any such stories. The general notion is romance dies after marriage. If you want to keep the romance in, they have to be separated. Ekta Kapoor school of daily serial making. If you don't have a story, kill some one or amnesia..

No, they've incorporated elements of Kalidas' fiction (from a different story altogether) into the show. You can of course find stories of Parvati being upset with Mahadev over something and him trying to manaofy her but this particular amnesia thing can only be found in Trikon Chalachitra Purana.

no Kumarsamvab ends with Kartikeya killing Tarkasur and it was ahem most erotic writing of Kalidas 😉..with vivid description of Shiv-Parvati Milan..there was no memory loss
memory loss was invented by Kalidas in Avigyan Shakuntalam
in Mahabharat Dushyant didn't lose his memory he was only testing Shakuntala but in Kalidas he lost memory because Shakuntala got curse from Durvasa and she lost her ring given by Dushyant

Dushyant's character is questionable in the original Mahabharata version. He only changed his tune when the akashvani told him to and accepted Shakuntala and his son.
