I think we got the news about Zahida as soon as it was news, so I am not sure the CVs were prepared for this when they were making Gayatri more and more negative; that seemed part of the natural story. Then again the boiling water promo does look a little more sinister than anyone expected. 😕

After reading some of your optimistic posts, I do see how the story can actually be renewed after the death of a pivotal character. In fact, I am most interested to see how Yash deals with loss differently than he did in the case of Arpita, now that he has that experience behind him and Aarti's unwavering support in the grieving process. In fact, Aarti and Yash can really be guiding lights to the whole family, who unlike them, are completely new to a loss of this magnitude. I would especially like to see a poignant relationship further develop between SP and AarYa.

Anyway, now that it's confirmed that Gayatri is dying, I do have a few hopes for closure for her character, since it has been such a pivotal one through out the show:

1. Please make her death meaningful rather than an unfortunate accident. I so wanted this for Prashant, where he would die and gain redemption through this death, by saving someone etc, but they had made him completely negative by then. With Prashant's death, Amit Thakur saved the day with Dubey's very believable and heart-wrenching grief, but with Gayatri I demand more because she was never and will never be a villain in the story by any means. Ideally I would like to see her die saving Aarti and the baby, which would be a redemption for wrongly accusing Aarti, in her blind favour of Akash.

2. I don't want her death to be immediate like Prashant's. I really want a Kal Ho Na Ho-type hospital scene where the doctor tells the family she doesn't have much time left and they all gather around her bed to say goodbye. This is a character for whom we need proper closure and I want an entire episode dedicated to her. I am confident that the CVs will do something like this but I am just mentioning it nonetheless. I want her to make peace with SP, tell him that she forgives him for what he did, and thank him for their life together; I want her to have little speeches with each of her sons and bahus, and if this is somehow caused by Akash, I want her to tell him not to be guilty. Basically in death at least, I want to see the strong, secure and at-peace Gayatri we were all waiting to see emerge through this track.

3. NO SP-RADHA! Please, no speech from Gayatri to Radha telling her to take care of SP now that she is gone. I want SP to be completely broken by Gayatri's death and it would be amazing if they could reference back to when he mocked Yash for his grief over Arpita, saying it wasn't manly to grieve so long and so intensely for a woman. Radha and SP can become platonic friends and make peace with their mistakes, accepting their mutual roles as parents to Yash and Akash but that is IT for now. SP doing anything outside of mourning Gayatri and trying to correct the mistakes that he left uncorrected, acting on the epiphany of how much she meant after losing her, would be unpalatable to be at this point... at least to me. Nobody expects the CVs to take the title of the show that literally!

I think the CVs owe the character of Gayatri this much at least, and given the fact that they love the character so much and couldn't bear to see anybody substandard play it, I have some confidence that they will give us good closure and that Gayatri's death will hopefully lay the foundations for a more deliberate and positive phase in the Scindia family, with everyone putting their egos aside in the face of the bigger picture.

I too dont want her death to b just a mere accident but something which can make us feel for the character post her death .. I would love to see her dieing while saving Aarti and her baby .. this will make sure Gayatri is coming again as Aayu mayb .. so we can hv a girl child too 😳... Also I would love to see a highly emotional Yash-Gayatri scene before she dies ... CVs got to give it 😡

Now coming to Radha-SP , this is where I m not sure I will agree with u or differ 🤔... I will certainly not want Gayatri asking SP to re-marry Radha for his own happiness .. but what if Gayatri asks SP to re-marry Radha so that noone dares to taunt Yash for being illegitimate 🤔.. What if Gayatri asks SP to marry Radha so that al lher sons can get the legitimate rights in the family 🤔... So I dunno how exactly CVs hv thought of this but if with SP-Radha PV , we might see Yash too becoming a legitimate son and mayb hving upperhand over Akash too post Gayatri's death and story can progress from there 🤔

Good morning friends!! Have a wonderful week ahead. It's a momentous day for me as well. Not only is it my son's birthday, it's also a birthday of sorts for me in IF/PV forum. I complete one year today.😃

@Samana: Fantastic post back there on Gayatri's send-off. Agree with all...However, we all know where this is actually heading to. Why Radha stuck around, making those mute appearances here and there is very clear now. In fact I am looking at Gayatri's outburst to Radha in the Kitchen revolt from a different perspective now. Her exact words were: "Who asked you to interfere in my domestic matters? You might have a relation with my husband, but you have none with me. To me you are just my husband's mistake...the other woman who came into my house to spread poison. This is my house...MINE. I have maintained it with lot of love and affection. In this templelike home of mine I won't even let your shadow fall." The entire rant takes a different connotation when you look at it from the way the CVs might be projecting it, which is that for all of Gayatri's angst and territorial defence, it'd finally end with all getting transferred to Radha because of divine intervention.

I was just thinking that every dark cloud has a silver lining. As much as I would miss Gayatri, I think her death can have a lot of potential for the story to move forward.

Ditto to your first point. I think Yash and Aarti can truly emerge as the guiding lights for this family. They both have dealt with grief of this depth. They have lost and have discovered that there is a life beyond the grief. Who better than them to show the rest of the family the path out of the darkness Gayatri's death will bring.

I maybe the minority here but I actually don't mind a SP-Radha jodi. But that being said, I do not want it any time now. It is too soon. Maybe 6 months from now.😆

I don't mind seeing SP and Radha being able to put aside their differences and egos and biases and prejudices and work together in bringing about a genuine truce between their sons. And I don't mind, in the process if they discover that their hatred for each other is shrouded in their own prejudices and limitations as opposed to the other person's fault. I don't mind seeing a story where SP and Radha realize their mistakes through a process of redemption, self reflection and grief. And maybe at some point they realize individually that they could be more than platonic friends. That they do share a bond that cannot be broke that of being parents to two sons: Akash and Yash. Yet they do not do anything about it because 1) at their age no one enters a marriage and they fear what the society would say and 2) they cannot even imagine what their family would say considering their past relationship 3) because they are afraid if they take such a step they would be betraying Gayatri and tehir guilt will not let them. I think it would be wonderful if then some day Yash and Akash bring their parents together because they genuinely want their parents to be happy and at peace. If SP and Radha actually go through such a process of self reflection, remorse and guilt, I do not really see it as a betrayal to Gayatri. It is of utmost importance for me as a viewer that I see that kind of self reflection and remorse from both SP and Radha, if I have to accept such a relationship. But ya I would hate it if, when Gayatri dies she takes a promise from SP to marry Radha. 🤢

I recently saw a movie - Pyaar Mein Twist. Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. They both were married before and lost their partners. They have grown up kids who are married. And these two fall in love. Except for two kids the rest of the kids at first resist. It was actually quite a nice movie. I wouldn't mind something like that but of course Radha and SP's previous relationship makes it a little different.

Coming to Gayatri. I agree. I want a wonderful closure. Especially between her and Yash. It would break my heart if she dies thinking Yash is ghanda khan and stuff. Before she dies, I want her to realize that Yash was and will always be her son no matter who birthed him.

All that being said, I think we will be okay. With the new show starting tomorrow, I think if a change had to happen in our story line this is a good moment for it happen. And our CVs are not the ones to panic nor are they a lazy bunch who will allow the story to go haywire. So here is me hoping for the best. 😃
