Yes I didn't like her in the confession scene much. That scene wholly belonged to Sid.

I agree toral can do the politically active part of anandi. She is good as aggressive anandi but really sucks as tender shy anandi. They should have gotten over the romantic part of anandi with pratusha instead of dragging it so much. Viewers would not have been disappointed and show would have kept going. Many married women after marriage also look innocent fresh vivacious. Total looks like the vitality is wiped out and is a mature settled married woman. Sid and pratusha were always lightly flirting with each other off screen as they both are single. Sid is surrounded by mother and sisters in personal life so it looks like he connects with women quickly. His chemistry with on screen mother in law is also good so he will connect with total also but that under cover attraction vibe that he shared with Prat is gone. Hence the on screen chemistry with anandi is lost.

Toral's expressions looked completely fake and unnatural. Even in other scenes, I watched whole episode. Yaar she is not able to emote intensity/longing/care/love in her expressions.

I know you are trying to like everything as a whole package, but it's very clear that Toral isn't a good fit for the role. She is just an actress, if you don't like something about her, its okay to say. And she is the lead of the show, that too of a classic series like BV, she would be judged on at least acting. She is also an industry veteran with 2-3 serials already in her kitty. I have even seen 1 romantic, SR scene of hers, here somewhere. So its not like a completely new face acting first time in front of camera. Then why so much leeway & excuses for her? Pratyusha was facing the camera for the first time in her life so she took some time to adjust. I really don't think people took an year to adjust.

If you observe carefully, Shiv's expression lack that intensity like before. There is a definitely a difference in his eyes, they are also no longer that expressive. Don't you feel it when you look at the episode.

You are right about dragging the script for ILU part, but BV always dragged like this for any & everything. ILU is actually a big thing compared to the stupid stuff they have dragged. But you know what earlier the portrayal of romance/ILU was such that it was easy on the eyes & heart. Now it looks like a mockery. So we are harsher on the script too.

Toral has to improve in her acting skills. Along with her , i think the directors too should put more effort in this . I didn't watch this scene u mentioned. But i did watch her when she 'ran around with Mannu' .Her hurried and long speech to Rat when she pulled him up was not necessary and her reaction when everyone applauded her was a wrong portrayal of Anandi. She needs some time to fit in Anandi's role just as partysha took time to fit into it at her initial stages. 1 week is too less a time to evaluate her skills on the overall.
