Khushi's mother's reaction was normal. So I'm not angry at her 😆

Feeling bad for Khushi. Poor her. She doesn't understand what's gotten into Arnav for him to become such a 'monster' 🤔

Feeling bad for Arnav too. He's trying really hard to shut Khushi off from his life.

But I don't see his idea of staying away from Khushi. Is it because he wants her become independent or is it because he's afraid of ruining their friendship - since all that glitters is not gold (referring to his parents' relationship)?

Loved the update nevertheless! 😊

Looking forward to future updates! Really eager to read how Arnav & Khushi end up getting married 😃

P.S: Loved the lyrics. Really apt for this chapter 😊

Thank you! I gave you a long one last time 😉
The next part is a bit short too but it needed its own chapter.
Exactly! She's a mother, so she will obviously be concerned for her daughter's future. She doesn't trust Arnav because she saw how heartbroken Khushi was when Arnav stopped contacting her; she wants what's best for her daughter, and she isn't sure that Arnav is it.

I don't think Arnav understands either. They're both at such an awkward stage around one another that neither is probably in their right senses. Arnav going to Harvard changed him as a person, not a huge amount but it did have an impact - he became a lot more shrewd & began to understand how the world works even more so than he did before. He does care for Khushi, and I would even say that he loves her although he isn't at the stage of realisation yet, however he doesn't believe a relationship is right for either of them. He wants her to be independent, which is why he left her with such little communication in the first place, and his experience of relationships hasn't been the best (i.e. his multiple girlfriends & his parents' relationship); with such experiences, would he not prefer to keep their relationship platonic as their friendship is one thing he can rely on?

Arnav is a very smart man, and he can sense attraction blooming from both sides; he had been noticing it for a while but it peaked on the night of Khushi's birthday. He knows that, subconsciously perhaps, Khushi wants more from their friendship. She wants them to be together on a more permanent basis, and Arnav doesn't want that due to the reasons above. So he's pushing her away because he wants her to forget about this attraction they feel for one another (although that's something he can't seem to forget himself). In all of this, he is hoping that he will be able to wind the clock back to before they even knew what feelings beyond friendship are - something he will soon learn is impossible.

Thank you! 😳

I addressed Khushi's mother's plight in a comment above, so if you get time you should look at that 😊
Thanks for the comment!

Things will get better for them, I promise 😊
Just deal with this mild turbulence & wait it out - the storm will soon pass!

Author's note: Again, I felt I had to address this in a separate note. This was an incredibly tough chapter to write, especially because I knew if I went too far Arnav would be beyond redemption. I am in no way advocating domestic violence here; I have always been against it and will always remain against it. People who have the audacity to do that are not human in my eyes. Looking over this chapter before I posted it reminded me of an event that occurred way after I had written this in a serial (not IPKKND) that caused a lot of controversy in that people couldn't figure out whether the male lead was justified in what he did or not (he slapped the female lead with many external circumstances involved). With that slap, I had my opinion on it but I will leave you to form your opinions about what happens in this chapter or rather what could have happened. I sincerely hope no one takes offence at what they are about to read. I would be intrigued to read your views, however, and discuss the events of the chapter. This is probably the most intense this story is going to get; I promise the story will get more positive from this and the next part won't be like this!

By the way, I will continue to reply to comments soon but I'm in a rush so I can't right now! PMs later!

THAT'S what he did to her? Crap! I couldn't have imagined... the flashback, I mean, crap... no he's not like his father but that act would scare anyone, let alone khushi. Although I do understand khushi is at fault too, for ignoring his calls, but his anger was unreasonable, to some extent if not entirely.

cheers

Wow! Very emotional and power packed update. Arnav has so many demons inside of him that he takes it all out on Khushi.

It made me sad that her first kiss was so horrible and with so much fear involved.

They really need to talk & he needs to start begging for forgiveness.

Wow that was quite an intense update, but however written perfectly. I think both have misunderstood each other, because Arnav tried contacting khushi and she ignored him then when khushi tried contacting Arnav it was too late. Poor guy was dealing with his mothers illness, but however if he had been drinking it does not justify how he behaved with khushi and forcing himself on her by kissing her, but I'm sure Arnav has realised that he might be turning into his dad, gave him a wake up call. Continue soon please xx

So I don't know whether to comment on forums or your blog.. So India Forums it is. I can see why this was a hard chapter for you to write. I can't believe they weren't in contact for months. Arnav should have at least informed her of his mothers deteriorating health. Arnav really had no right to accuse her like that esp since he left her for so long.their friendship isn't the same anymore... Thanks for the update :)
