His stellar debut in Student of the Year has ensured that Siddharth Malhotra scooped up plenty of female adulation. Quiz him about his sizeable female fan following though, and the shy actor becomes even more hesitant, admitting that he isn't used to it.
"I tend to get very conscious," says Siddharth wryly. "However, I make it a point to try to reply to as much of my fan mail as possible. I think this is the best possible way to connect with them ' especially when they're not from India."
Friends of the actor also say that Siddharth isn't quite comfortable with having so many female fans, but add that he loves connecting with Gen Y fans on social networking sites.
His next film, The Villain, will see Siddharth make a departure from his fresh-faced SOTY avatar and see him assume a more rugged persona instead. Sources close to the actor say he is asking fans for feedback about the new look: "Sid has been working hard on his transformation, but he is taking the time out to check the feedback from his fans and respond to each one personally as far as possible."

Sidharth Malhotra seems to have finally grown up! And no, we're not talking about real life here; we're talking about his role in Ekta Kapoor's next project titled The Villain.
Apparently, Sidharth is being completely remodeled for his role in the film. Right from his hairdo to the facial stubble, clothes, etc., the actor is being given a total makeover to match his character of a tough, mean dude. And it seems Sidharth had to crop his hair at least 10 times until the makers of the film were satisfied with his look.
And so, when he posted this picture on Twitter, it got us thinking whether this is the hunk's new look for The Villain. But the SOTY star was careful not to reveal much. He simply tweeted, "Hey this is aalim hakim messing with my hair ;) …this is what they call out of bed look."
We wouldn't have thought much about it, but the stubble and the disheveled hairdo clearly point at something. So, what do you think BollywoodLifers? Could this be Sidharth's new look for The Villain?
