What i am saying is that it is Gayatri's nature to be biased towards people she has a blood relation with, and well, we will agree to disagree on that point 😛

But as far as the rest is concerned, esp regarding SP and Radha- I am with U!

Well, maybe I am an optimist but the way she supported Yash and Aarti in the custody battle makes me want to believe that she has understood the value of relationships of the heart. There was a reason that fate sent Aarti and Ansh her way, and a reason that time taught her to love Ansh as her own after not wanting him in the family at all, initially. I see it all as preparing her for this new turn in her life. In many ways Gayatri's character has changed more permanently than SP's over the course of the show. I like to think that the genuine effort that she is making now is a result of all that character development. She is the one for whom the divorce truth mattered least because she knew Aarti, loyal the wife and mother. I like to think that she has learned to at least some extent, to see past technicalities.

Nice post and perspective!!
My view is that if your husband has an affair and this results in a child and you have been raising the child as your own in comfort while your own child grew up in poverty, naturally you would have this sense of obligation to make up to your own child...
To me, G3 feels that she has to oblige Aakash to make it up to him for all the years that he has suffered...In her mind, Aakash is her poor son who is a victim because of her husband's philandering and Radha's vicious needs to ensure her son has a good life...
In fact, what Aakash is demanding for is "rightfully" his - he was born with these rights which were taken away from him and Yash was supposed to live the kind of life that Aakash had been living for the past 30 years...So I guess from where G3 view all this, she is just giving Aakash his rights...
